Hyperhidrosis is excessive sweating in the underarms, palms, and feet.
It effects about 2-3% of the American Population and I'm an unfortunate victim.

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this? I've had this my whole life but it's getting worse and driving me crazy!

It's gotten to the point where clinical strength antiperspirants have absolutely no effect and I don't want to wear anything other then black or white shirts because it's embarrassing the amount of sweat!

I don't have any body odor, (other then the normal that regular deodorant can solve) thankfully but I would like some personal experiences, products that work for you, home-remedies, anything!

Online I've read that Aluminum Chloride Hexahydrate can help majorly, like Drysol, but in the U.S. you need a prescription which I don't have and it's about $40 on Ebay.
Did this work for you?

You're not alone! I have the same isue! Have you tried Certain Dri yet? You can buy it at Walmart and it's not overly expensive. It has worked wonders for me. I do ballroom dancing and I would be so embarrassed about how much I would sweat. A lot of my dresses are made of that sheer fabric that shows any sweat. My doctor told me to try Certain Dri and it works. I haven't had any problems since I started using it. You should try it if you haven't already.

I have the exact same problem; I've tried almost everything, and so far my best solution is to switch which antiperspirant I use once every 2-3 weeks (some doctors say its due to hormones, so there's sometimes a pattern where it is worse starting a week before your period). It's nice to have a bit of a little support group like this! The worst thing is when people point it out; especially when they do so loudly, or when children notice...

Thank you for posting this!
I have not tried that yet but I definitely will!
I ordered a product called Odaban which is an Antiperspirant Spray that had a lot of good reviews, it just came in last night so I can't tell if it's working or not but if it doesn't I'll keep Certain Dri in mind!

Oh, ballroom dancing is so much fun! My school has a huge dance at Christmas time and all we do are different ballroom dances. I love the large group ones like the Virginia Reel. But I know what you mean about the dresses, they definitely don't do anything to help disguise sweat!

Thank you for sharing this!
I have noticed that the little effect most antiperspirants have for me tends to stop after a few weeks and seem to just make the sweating worse. I will definitely have to go out and get a couple different kinds and start switching them like you say.

OH gosh yes. I was babysitting a few kids one night and the 10 year old girl says loud enough for everyone to hear "Your armpits are orange!" meaning the yellow of my shirt had turned orange under my arms....mortifying.
So hopefully these tips you and IzarArgi shared will help with this!
