At this point, Saya might have signalled Tedan silently to tell him to get ready since their moment of cooperation with the halloweeners was coming to an end. Saya wasn't naive enough to believe they would pat each other on the backs and then politely go back to being enemies.

She didn't know if the creature was dead or not but regrouping was important, especially in the face of the halloweeners who were the majority of the situation. At least, with Tedan, she had a chance, rather than being a moon in the midst of a battle she couldn't win.

Especially when they had proven more hostile than most others, by far.

His breathing steady even after the exertion of the fight, Tedan glanced over to Saya in time to catch that look and nodded slightly in response. He didn't de-summon his weapon just yet - leaning on the pole a bit as his gaze shifted to the Halloweeners standing in the room with them. Though part of him wanted to simply charge at someone and get this over with ... he realized that they were technically outnumbered.

So, he'd let them make the first move.
