So many boys!!! emotion_donotwant
Holy crapamoly. I have this problem where I don’t know how to tell people no. I was asked out by a friend of mine again, and I just don’t want to hurt his feelings, because I am not at all interested in him that way.. I go this youth group right, and I am afraid that when I turn this boy down, the people I am friends with there will be unhappy with me for turning their friend down..
I know it seems like I am worrying to much about this, I just don’t know how to tell him. I have hurting peoples feelings..
I never used to be in the attention of boy.. But in the past 6 months, I ave been asked out by at least 5 boys. I dont know how to handle it *cue freak out from Red* emotion_0A0

Or if it's someone you could see your self dating in the future but you don't want to go out with them you could say you want to get to know them better first.
It also doesn't hurt to just go on a date. A date doesn't always mean you are in a relationship with this person. You can just say okay and see where it goes. If it goes well and you enjoy yourself maybe you'll want to give it a second go and maybe it will become a relationship.

I don't think you should worry too much about other people being unhappy that you turn their friend down.
At the end of the day, it would be you stuck in a relationship with someone you don't really like, not them....so don't care /that/ much what some other people think, and go based on how you feel about that person instead.

Yeah, I called him today and explained to him... He seemed alright, but still.. I felt bad. I still do though.. emotion_facepalm
Oh and thanks, its in relation to a song called Red Stars by the Birthday Massacre. I spoke to some people on the phone and they assured me not to feel bad.. I am feeling better about it now I guess.. I'm very sorry if this offended you.. It wasn't my intention. At all. emotion_sweatdrop

I know you don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but if you're not interested, you're not interested. Just be straight with them on how you feel and if they really care about you as a person, they'd respect that. If they have a hissy fit and give you a hard time, you don't want that kind of person in your life.

i send them away by saying that i don't date
a 'long-distance boyfriend' that doesn't exists helps with the ones who persist. yeah, it changes directions, but it sends 'em away for me

I go through certain popularity times every now and then when people would come out of the wood work and try to get my attention. I have no idea what it is. I could be single for almost a year and then suddenly one person makes a move and I guess my fan club just doesn't want to see me with someone else. One time I had two girls going for me at the same time. I spent more time lulzing at my awesomeness than being serious about it, but by the end of it I did date one of them for around 6 months. I've always had tendencies, but that was my first and last relationship with another girl.
Just keep in mind that going on a date isn't saying you want to commit your heart and soul to someone forever. I like to go out on the town and socialize and sometimes drink. It's very hard and kinda depressing to try that alone. Sometimes a date is just a try out to find out if you're interested in someone and want to see how they act away from their friends or where met them (school, work ect.) sometimes it's more of a friend date where it's mutually acknowledged neither of you are looking for romance, but you just find the other person fun to be around.
Getting attention isn't a bad thing, but make sure it's the way you want and on your own terms.
2D crushes. That's what strategically placed posters are for, like the ceiling and wall locations easily viewable from the bed. Girl's got her needs.
