The tikbalang was a lot of things, stubborn was one particular trait. It was why he had to sneak off back into the House without alerting any of his friends because it seemed like a lost cause. Tro only fell back when he was with others and had their well-being to worry about. On his own? The tikbalang wasn't very concerned with his safety.

Suddenly, a dim sort of low bass beat picked up through the fog, punctuated by a delicate, phantom sort of sound of scurrying.....

Tro was not alone. The pale figure of a Reaper, a first year he had possibly seen in passing in classes and events was standing not far away, quietly plucking at the strings of a blackened bass that whisped and waned with the breeze.

Home, I dream of home... he sang softly.

The fog swept forward, carrying a sea of phantom glowing blue eyes and gnashing teeth, as suddenly pale, ghostly rats were scurrying past the horse-boil's hooves and up his legs...

Petro had stilled at the music, the melody having an odd, calming effect on him. Music had always done that to the horse boil. Even as the multitudes of teeth began to sink into his flesh, Petro couldn't bring himself to feel enraged. His reaction to kick at the rats was out of reflex more than a genuine desire to stop the music.

Nah-na-na~ Not be alone...

The soft voice curled amongst the fog, roaches now scurrying up from between the ghostly rodents that were kicked away like a crawling shadow dotted with pin-point blue stars, covering the horse beast as he continued to play.

A fleeting thought I can't contain~

The rats swarmed on, tiny ghostly feet clawing, teeth nipping and gnawing. But the music played on and it made the horse boil... want to dance. Petro didn't know what he was doing as he shifted to his real form, gaining height and bulk and sharp, solid hooves. He didn't notice the bodies that were crushed underhoof, didn't feel the dissipating misty Fog, or how more of it swirled and enveloped. All that seemed to matter to him was the music and the melody.

The stampedeing horse creature made the reaper apparition hesitate, blue glowing eyes peering out from under his cap as the rat and roach like fog was sent dissipating around the flailing figure.

His brows furrowed before his attention returned to the instrument in his grasp, which gave a sigh and fresh swell of deep toned beats.

Enzo's voice lifted up again, echoing with finality.

Nah-na-na-na~
Oh to be at home again...

The mists around him thickened, glittering with millions of tiny eyes. The distant memory of the swarm holding enough form enough to lunge forward like a massive crashing wave of tiny, squirming, clawing, ripping, tearing creatures.

Everything was too intense, the music, the sensation, the oddly euphoric and desperate need to keep moving and dancing and in the end, it proved too much for the horse boil. He may have dissipated but the sound of clattering hooves echoed on.
