I'm cleaning and making room for the new baby.

Right now my room is a bit dusty and I was wondering if I should wear gloves when wiping down the paneling, window seal and crown-molding with pine-sol water. Will pine-sol water mess with my body if it gets in my body by going through the pores of my skin? Gloves yay or nay?

My goal is to get the dust, germs and allergens down before the baby gets here so I'm cleaning everything...

You're nesting! As for Pine-Sol, I am fairly sure it is a mild enough detergent that it should not be an issue but make sure keep the area you are working in ventilated because the smell may upset your system.
**I used hospital grade cleaner designed to kill the TB virus on a near daily basis during the majority of my pregnancy and never wore gloves and the twins are fine. I didn't find out until the end of the pregnancy that we are supposed to wear gloves when using it, no one in my clinic knew.***

I had to wear gloves when i was nesting as im allergic to a lot of chemicals but i dont think you have to. If your unsure wear them anyway.

main thing is keep the windows open in the room.

First few months of my pregnancy I worked in a hospital as a housekeeper so I was already always wearing gloves. I say when it doubt, its always better to be safer than sorry. Also those chemicals are hell on your skin. Even if it has no effect on your baby, you should still consider your poor skin.

Also when I was pregnant I was super sensitive to smells you may want to get yourself a couple masks just in case and as someone else also mentioned keep the rooms you're working in well ventilated. Use a fan and open windows.

I used gloves all through my pregnancy if I was cleaning something and even used a medical mask. I'm hyper sensitive to chemicals so that might just be me. But I would advise using gloves cause you'd rather be safe than sorry.
