I personally like writing novels/short stories and sometimes just feel the need to bring the story even more to life by making a movie for it.
I've only ever finished making one short film though, because there was a specific deadline set by someone else. When I'm just working alone, things don't get done quickly xD

So what inspires you to make a movie or a short film?

Last night I was listening to music, and a really good song came on. At the time, I was thinking of a script I'm writing for a short film, and the song really inspired a scene where one of the main characters gets shot. Sounds gruesome, but I promise I'm not into the whole gorey thing. Anyway, just from listening to that one song, I worked out how this girl dies, and how the people there react.
Music is powerful.
