Ami was busy pointing out where the clothing section was when the portal swallowed her again, dumping her on the front lawn of Deus.
The laughing, bubbling joy that she'd been feeling in the store faded all at once, like a wave leaving the shore. It was back to bad memories, grouchy behavior and annoyances.
Somehow, she missed the store.
