I'm so excited! After 7 years total and 3 years living together, my boyfriend took us up to a cabin in the mountains for our anniversary. We went hiking, found a beautiful spot, and then he told me to look at something. I stepped forward, turned around, and there he was with the ring. smile
So I have a fiance now! I am a fiancee. It's so weird! But I'm glad that we're now officially as serious as I've felt for awhile, and that people can take us that seriously. I mean, seven years is a long time, even though we were young when we got together.
We don't have a date yet, but it will probably be some time in the spring/summer. smile We still have to figure out whether we want a small wedding, or a wedding at all, and where we'll have it. Outdoors = during the warm season, indoors = any time. Whenever it is, it'll definitely be within the next year.

Thank you all! biggrin I'm very excited. I've started planning. I think an August wedding outdoors would be perfect. Although I'd love to get married in May, I'd like an outdoor wedding and the only time you can reasonably hope for it to be not raining (or warm in the slightest) is around August, maybe September. May is still rainy, although there's some nice days. It'd be a complete blind guess as to when, though.
This is the ring. The picture is kind of blurry because my camera is dumb. :[ I love it! I've never been a fan of the HUGE ROCK type rings for myself. They look nice on other people, but I'd probably get it caught on all kinds of things. And I'm not a very flashy person, either.
I was kind of toying around with the idea of having kitty ringbearers. xd : But that's just a daydream. One, my cats would be terrified. Two, fleas. I let Natalie have some leash-and-harness play dates with the outdoors during the summer, and I've been battling fleas ever since.
