STORY
WHAT IS THE WORLD?
-----A game has been a game out for sometime called "The World", an amazing MMORPG where millions of people can play together. This game enables players, or users, to virtually transport themselves into this world, however there have been some glitches lately. Some people have gone into comas, and there have been an alarming amount of Vagrant AI. The Admins who defend "The World" have been investigating this for some time, but to no avail. So that is the situation in the world.
-----You are a player who plays this game. You can travel these worlds making freinds, exploring dungeons, searching for rare items, Killing other players, or Killing the Player killers. You have often heard of the people going into comas, and of people running into Vagrant AI. Perhaps you will witness one.... Welcome to The World.
-----Remember, your user is not on the game 24/7. They can have a life too.
The World (ザ・ワールド, Za Waarudo) is the first massively multi-player online RPG since Pluto's Kiss. Developed for the ALTIMIT OS, The World had a lot of media hype, resulting in over 100,000 preorders being taken in November of 2007. The World was sold online for download, and in the first day alone it sold 4,576,623 copies.
The World was created by the genius programmer Harald Hoerwick under the name Fragment. Fragment was released as a limited beta approximately nine months prior to the release of The World. The beta was stopped early for unknown reasons and The World was released shortly afterwards.
The World's storyline is based off of the Epitaph of Twilight, an epic poem by the web author Emma Wielant. In the game the world has been under attack by monsters, which has forced the forces of good to retreat into fiercly defended cities and forts. Only adventurers (represented by the players) are allowed to penetrate the magical shields around these safe havens and battle with the monsters that lurk outside. These adventurers draw their power through their mastery of waves, symbols that are inscribed onto their bodies and equipment that allow them to channel the power of the elements into their bodies in the form of magical skills and abilities.

WHAT IS PLUTO'S KISS?
Pluto's Kiss (冥王の口づけ) is a catastrophic event that took place on December 24, 2005. On that day, all computers connected to the Internet crashed simultaneously around the globe. Additionally, all networked computer and communication network control systems were shut down, resulting in numerous traffic accidents and disasters.
In the United States, the automatic retaliatory systems malfunctioned, in a short time reaching a point of crisis. 77 minutes later, the global network was able to recover itself from the incident, but the resulting chaos caused the United States' nuclear defense and automated counter-strike systems to be armed.
It was later discovered that the virus creator was a ten-year-old elementary school student, living in Los Angeles, California.
The incident was so damaging that United States President, Jim Stonecold, later resigned from office in January 2006 after taking full responsibility for the incident.
Ever since then, ALTIMIT OS has been the only major operating system in the world; this is credited to its remarkable stability.

Rules
General Rules-
1. No Godmod, Powerplay, or Puppeteering
2. Romance is ok, but no cybering! (No one wants to see it)
3. Cussing is ok, just dont over do it
4. Semi-Lit please. At least two sentances.
5. Use " " for in character talking and ( ) or [ ] for OOC. dont use * *!
5. Remember to PM me your Profiles.
6. Put a Ninja in your PM so I know you read the rules.
7.My word is Law
Advance RP rules-
1. Your users have lives too, and can interact with other players in real life, to show who's in "The World" or not please put Logged in or Logged Out at the top of your posts. Actually log out when you leave so we dont have to wait for you.
2. Be reasonable when fighting monsters, no one hits. (Unless your a Veteran in a low lvl area).
3. I know people tend to txt talk in games, but for the sake of being able to understand eachother, be literate. You may, however, use gameing terms like, PK, ATK, and lvl. |

(Heres a lsit of spells to help you out, Spells / Skill/Spell, you must use these.
Classes-
Blademaster: A character that uses swords. This class is probably more accurate than others. Best all-around characters.
Heavy Axeman: A character that uses gigantic axes to deal heavy damage. One of the stronger classes, in terms of defense.
Heavy Blade: A character that uses broadswords and katanas to attack enemies. This class has the highest attack power of all the classes in the The World.
Long Arm: A character that uses spears and lances. These make up most of the Cerullian gaurd.
Twin Blade: A character that uses identical dual blades. This class has average attack power.
Wavemaster: A character that uses staves and long-range magic rather than melee attacks. This class has the lowest attack power and players using this class should avoid close combat.
Kickboxer: A character that uses fists to fight opponents.
Proffessions-
Crimson Knight Remnants: Characters that fight to protect the World from illegal users. However none of them had any real administrative power. They were all disbanded, yet some still hold their title, and travel around as vigilantes.
Cerullian Knights: A team of system administrators who hunt down Vagrant A.I. and delete them. Later the group was led by Kamui. Formed from the remnants of the Crimson Knights, and possessed much more power.
Illegal Character/Hacker: A character that has been illegally edited via hacking. Not everyone can be one! remember, Rule #1 still applies to hackers. You can a little, but dont go insane with it!
Rare Hunters: Characters that like collecting rare items. Some may be obsessed with collecting rare items. Some own a special rare room for storing their items because it holds more than the storage in the NPCs.
System Administrator: Players that are in charge of protecting the world. They delete any hackers, cheaters and wandering A.I. Some are also in charge of setting up events for players to play.
Vagrant / Wandering AI: Corrupted or illegal programs that have achieved a state of pseudo-existence within The World. They are hunted by system administrators who delete them. If your one of these, you dont have a user.
Ultimate Vagrant AI: Currupted data said to have been created by a master hacker. The System Admins, Cerrulean Gaurd, and Crimson Remnants have been hunting this data for a long time. Has the ability to Data drain. Due to the number of comas caused by this data, hes reffered to as the shade. There is only one of these, and its me.
Player Killer (PK): Players who kill other players for fun or prophit.
Player Killer Killer (PKK): Players who kill PK's. Often done out of revenge, heroism, or fun. |
