Kay so I wanted to post this on the day it happened but I figured it would pass.....but it hasn't.
Anyways so I have this account on this soap board where people gather to talk about day time soaps and so I post there a lot and this one user she liked my opinions but she was a bit dramatic, publicly posting that she was no longer going to post on the board because people were being mean to her and name calling. I didn't bother to comment but others did saying that she should stay so she did.
Out of nowhere about like.....four or five days ago I get a message from her on Facebook. My name on the FB and on the soap site are different so how she found me is beyond me but she must have done some heavy searching.
I confirmed it was me and she wanted to be my friend because she liked my opinions on the soap board and admired how I spoke my mind.
So i friend her but not right away because I just was shocked and just dumbfounded.
I tried to just ignore her messages to my inbox but she would keep messaging me and so I would reply here and there. She even told me that she commented on a topic on the soap board that I posted on and said that she agreed with me about an opinion I had on something.
Um okay I don't really give a damn but thanks?
I found out that she is 56 and I am twenty so a little shocked there because she acts pretty damn childish. And when I friended her like right away I got all these notices about her liking some status I had posted hours or days ago and she would even comment on them.
Well days are going by and this old lady is annoying the hell out of me! She likes and comments on at least 80% of my statuses and once when I ignored her messaged, she messaged saying "hey I may be 56 but my mind is 18"
That's not why I'm bothered by you, you're just acting so damn.........unbearable!
Like just now! She just messaged me asking if I was going to watch General Hospital tomorrow, which is a daytime soap and that is the board we both post on. Honestly it was a stupid question to ask.
And oh my god girls!!! She is ******** annoying!!!
She wants me to let her know about spoilers of a certain character and so i told her what I knew and she just brought it back up saying that the producers should bring the character back. And I just told her that this character was coming next year.
emotion_facepalm
I'm just gonna ignore her and replies to her comments as I see fit. But seriously this is ******** ridiculous.

xp
looks like that madam wants to make a friend but she is annoying to you so you and her cannot be ''friends''.
That's why I don't have facebook...
However, I contact people by emails, when they don't reply I think maybe they are busy... XD But, reading this thread makes me think that it is more likely that they don't wanna be friend with me.

She's just a bit too much really. She seems eager to comment or to start a conversation and to let me know whet she is doing as far as switching from FB to the soap site. Kind of like people who post statuses every five seconds about their every action and it is just annoying me.
I think friendship would be possible if she just toned it down a bit, but I don't know how to confront her about it so it just seems easier to ignore her really. Give her the hint that I am not much of a Facebook type of person really because I'm really not.

Sounds like a bored and friendless "older-woman" with too much time on her hands : P She needs a life and to leave you alone.

Oooh, I feel for you. I have a penpal just like that. xd I met him in an anime forum five years ago and he's an okay guy, but he usually annoys me whenever we chat (it got even more annoying as I got older). We're friends in Facebook too, but after a while I decided to ignore him (because, I dunno, he really gets on my nerves a lot).
If you still want to be friends with her online then I think you should tell her (even though it's hypocritical, coming from me and all that xd ). Message her that she should tone down because you feel uncomfortable about it. I feel like a douche for ignoring my penpal, and I'm a total wimp because I still haven't stopped in ignoring him, and I never talked about the issue either. It's been more than a year since I started ignoring him and he's never talked to me since then. emotion_sweatdrop I kinda doubt you want that to happen.

... Well, if she's still annoying and you really don't want to talk to her then ignore her. It's super effective. emotion_yatta

I think it would be best and easier on me. I feel kind of selfish for doing it though.

She sounds like one of those women who is trying desperately to be cool, and she knows she's failing at it, so she tries to make some cool friends so that everyone will know just how cool she is. Except that that never works, so she just ends up looking like an idiot.
I don't really like people like that... it's like, just, turn the volume down a little, eh? Just a little. You don't have to be so "on" all. the. time. Give everyone a break sometimes.
This is exactly why I don't have Facebook. xp
