⇒Personality:
Independant and strong, though some have described Kayne as being thickheaded and stubborn. Compassionate to those he cares for, and protective of the weak. He is charismatic, and can make even the most inward drawn people come out of their shells. Hotheaded to a fault and always ready to fight for something he believes in.
⇒I have seen many things:
Like most people that weren't born into the lavish lifes of the Shadow Sigma, Kayne was born in the slums. He and his family had to fight for everything they had, and struggled greatly just to survive in the world. They didn't have much, but they were a family and Kayne loved his family to death. It was during a SS raid however that Kayne would watch as his father protected him and his mother and sister. A SS member used his pokemon to make an example of their power, and remind everyone refusing to cooperate would result in dire consequeces. Kayne's father was killed in front of everyone. At the moment, Kayne vowed to himself to find a way to make things right. He couldn't let this go on. His heart broken, he took his sister and mother to a friend that could protect them, and set out to find a way to stop Shadow Sigma.

⇒Personality:
When it comes right down to it, Emiri is independent, strong willed, confident, and has a never give up attitude. She will fight for what she knows is right, even if she's the only one fighting, and doesn't back down from voicing her opinion and making sure she's heard. She has a side of compassion and caring, but sometimes her tough outter shell isn't enough to keep her broken, vengeful pieces together, still mourning for her lost partner of five years.
⇒I have seen many things:
When she was younger, growing up high in the mountains of the Mt. Silver mountain range between what used to be the regions of Kanto and Johto, Emiri wasn't quite aware of the ruins that the world was in, having been kept from the lower world and within her own devices. It wasn't by any means a sanctuary, for some of the more feral and outcasted pokemon lived in the mountains, but learning what her parents were teaching her of how to take care of her self with learning how to use a staff for basic combat, Emiri was more or less happy as a young girl, especially upon having found an abandoned pokemon egg. Her parents were mortified that their daughter had brought the egg into their house, knowing that pokemon were no longer creatures of companionship, but young Emiri insisted, and in turn, hatched a young Charmander she named Sapphira.
Years went by living in their sanctuary in the mountains, the only companion either of them had to be each other, but Emiri and her growing Charmander were happy together since she had raised the reptile from an egg. Over those years, the Charmander grew, and while Emiri wasn't sure of the fire type's capacities, she was surprised to see it change into a larger reptile, a Charmeleon, and then later into a Charizard. The two were inseparable, having bonded together to span beyond the recent natural order of things, but that bond was not to last as Emiri and her companion grew ambitious enough to travel down to the mountain's base, territory they had never been to.
She's never exactly been quite sure of what had happened that day, only remembering a few glimpses of people in uniforms, angry pokemon, and then the terrifying roar of her partner as they fell from the sky. It had been at least two days when Emiri woke up to darkness, the only light a faint beam coming in from a pile of rocks and boulders that covered the entrance to the cave she was in. Looking around, she found herself shrouded in the orange scales of her partner, having been protected from the falling rocks, but the flame atop her Charizard's tail had long since gone out from guarding her human from the cave in, she had sacrificed her own life for that of a human.
A few days later, after convincing herself to leave Sapphira's body, managing to dig herself out, and making the hike back up to her home, Emiri's parents were over joyed to have their daughter back, having thought the worse, but after Emiri dared to relay what had happened, finally accepting her partner's fate, Emiri's parents sat down and explained the state of the world to her, all about the Shadow Sigma, and how the world used to be through stories and old books. Having witnessed herself a Pokemon's capacity for kindness and understand towards humans, Emiri knew that she needed to help write the wrong that had been caused those years ago, and vowed to avenge her beloved Sapphira.
While Emiri still holds onto her lost partner in memory, always thinking that she'd never be able to find that bond again, she had come to know a little pokemon a few years later from her partner's death. It was during the time where she was going out further and further from home again, a sort of self rehabilitation in order to make herself stronger to leave her home permanently, and treking through a cave within the Mt. Silver range, Emiri found herself lost at a dead end, her flash light having run out of battery. Wandering in circles, knowing that it would be getting dark outside and her parents would start to worry again, Emiri tripped over something in the darkness, only to have a breath of fire thrust at her, scorching a few pieces of loose coal on the cave floor. She found herself faced with a strange looking black pokemon, one she knew she had never seen before out of the many. It was small, but had fire on it's side, so she knew she had to do something in order to at least get away, so she threw out a berry from her bag to distract the pokemon in order to make her get away.
Hours later, managing to find her way out of the cave, Emiri made her way home, only to find that she had been followed by the black reptile. It had been in search of food for quite sometime, and the berry Emiri threw at it was something that piqued it's interest ten times over and caused it to follow her for more. It took a bit for the two to learn how to get along, but he was later named Kovu, and they have since been working together.
