Holy Moly! I can't believe this book series is being made into a movie!
Seriously they are amazing books, I suggest them to those of you who like a bit of fantasy or like things to do with 'demon hunting'. It's heaps good and is now being made into a movie!
The book series is called 'The Mortal Instruments' and 'City of Bones' is the first book.
I heard ithe movie's meant to come out in August, but I'm not certain, so don't take my word for it.
I'm so excited though!
The girl who co-starred in 'Abduction' (starring yummy Taylor Launter), is playing the main character, Clary.

Wow this is the first I've heard of it to be entirely honest, but I haven't been completely dedicated with either series. Though I am biased into liking the Infernal Devices a little bit more, since I love a more steampunk style novel.
Anyways I have mixed feelings about it being made into a movie. While I usually no longer obsess over the book being better or different (it's an inevitable fact, so I go to watch considering it a different entity), this usually causes a huge hype about the book to be made.
Plus it's feeling less and less special since whenever I see a movie I see movie posters for books I've read (even years ago) and I don't know how to feel because of how common it's becoming. Since part of how Twilight got blown out of proportion was indeed the movie and now after they had all their fun with the books, they decide to make The Host. Which is the one I still thought to be fairly interesting and decent and now I'm not sure how I feel about that.
Plus I get irritated when they begin going "movie for book cover" kinda stuff. Though that's just a personal thing of mine.
Either way even if I don't feel a rush of excitement for book into movies anymore, simply because it's become profitable and thus more common it seems for teen books I've read to be movies, I will likely go see the City of Bones and I will more than likely enjoy it. It's looking to be very well done in the trailer and I look forward to seeing it be put to film and the choices that were made.
Though admittedly it's been years since I read the first book, though I've been considering rereading both The Mortal Instruments and the Infernal Devices in the recommended order.

OH MYGURSH <3 I've known that they were going to make a movie out of this for over a year, and I'm so excited that it's finally goign to come out <3 I saw a trailer of it when I went to the theatre AND I CANT WAIT biggrin
Although in my friends' opinion the only one who is properly cast is Magnus XD
But I'm soooo excited <3

It'll be interesting how they portray some of the scenes and how different they are to what I had imagined whilst reading.
