because I just found out that in Mass Effect you can choose not to have Garrus on your team. That you can play it just right so that when he asks you to let him join you can just be all like "no." and he doesn't join your crew of mary spectre killers. Now Garrus has like always been my bro in Mass Effect. Him and tali were my go to team in ME and ME3 and I loved having conversations with him in ME2. But when I heard taht you could just tell him no and not pick him up in ME I kind of got excited. Does that make me a bad person?

It does not make you a bad person for making a choice in a video game.
but choices in video games can easily reflect on how you would treat the same situation in real life...

Not really though. It's easier to make a choice for an "evil" action in video games because you know it isn't real and there's no real moral weight reflected in the real world.
Even though a lot of people choose the "good" choices in video games, a lot of games pay out better for those choices anyway.
