happened today. a girl decided that while band and chorus were switching (we have 84-min blocks, and band and chorus share one, so those in both switch in the middle), that since both band and chorus teacher were in the aud (our concert's Wednesday), she would use the phone in the band room to call 911. the fire department got notified, though since she never put in a second 9, she technically never actually called them (since you need to put a nine in front of any outside number), but had it redirected to the main office.
we're assuming she never hit nine twice. she might have.
a couple of guys headed over, which notified the school, and they traced the phone. band teacher got a call, so she told all of us who were in the band room to sit down and be quiet. she told us what happened, and we were wondering who it was.
by the end of class, we knew it was a girl. i learned who it was in the middle of lunch by the band teacher. i don't know the girl myself, though her brother played clarinet and graduated last year
she's in big trouble now
