So today, my English teacher had us pick any book in the library to do a quick paper on. I just so happened to pick Sorcerer's Stone and opened to the chapter on Quidditch.

Turns out, there are actually a whole 700 fouls that can be committed in Quidditch. The ones we know of are:

1. Blagging: No player may seize any part of an opponent's broom to slow or hinder the player

2. Blatching: No player may fly with the intent to collide

3. Blurting: No player may lock broom handles with the intent to steer an opponent off course

4. Bumphing: Beaters must not hit Bludgers towards spectators

5. Cobbing: Players must not use their elbows against opponents

6. Flacking: Keepers must not defend the posts from behind by punching Quaffles out of the hoops - goals must be defended from the front

7. Haversacking: Chasers must not still be in contact with the Quaffle as it passes through a hoop

8. Quaffle-pocking: Chasers must not tamper with the Quaffle in any way

9. Snitchnip: No player other than the Seeker may touch or catch the Golden Snitch (unknown what would happen if this occured by accident)

10. Stooging: No more than one Chaser is allowed in the scoring area at any one time

11. Transfiguring an opponent into a polecat

12. Decapitating an opponent with a broadsword

13. Releasing blood-sucking vampire bats from underneath your robes.

14. Setting fire to an opponent's broom.

15. Attacking an opponent's broom with a club.

16. Attacking an opponent with an axe.

That's only sixteen out of seven hundred! And all of them were committed at a World Cup in the 1400's.

So, what other fouls do you guys think were committed?

17. Throwing one's cat at the keeper.
18. Breaking the sound barrier.
19. Making a whale apparate in the middle of the field.
20. Transfiguring oneself into an eagle.
21. Transfiguring the quaffle into a vicious, bloodthirsty possum.
22. Using a spectator to block the quaffle or bludger.
23. Falling asleep while in possession of the quaffle.

And last but not least,

24. Participating in a quidditch game butt-naked.

All I know is I fee bad for the referee. This dude has to remember 700 fouls!

You think killing an opponent would be one we know but I guess that's just too mainstream.
