[1v1] I Need An Adult (Kiwi & Simply) [FIN]

Simply had only met one human. One human who was a lonely, sad, scared person. That was all she had to go by, and it was what she judged them by. They were apparently kind of weak creatures(normally) and just didn't handle the craziness of halloweeners well. In short. She sort of felt bad for them. It didn't mean she wouldn't scare them of course, but she pitied them more than anything.

"The other way around? But humans are kind of sad." Didn't even have tails of their own. Not that she had much time to wonder as she was whirled around into an armlock which did smart a bit, didn't help she might have twisted it a bit more wiggling free, but in the process she did leave a few new scratches for the fellow. "Humans can't do anything." Even that hunter guy had said it. "They'd need us to have even a small chance!" And she was smiling again, because they needed to all be friends to do any good. That's where her logic had gone again.

Humans were their sad, weak, little friends. That they liked scaring.

Sad?? ... Kiwi felt her arm slip from between his fingers, and snorted softly. Humans had taken his home from him. Had destroyed his family, his dearest friend. Had given them this taint ... this taint that corrupted their homeland, that corrupted their very minds ... Pity for a human was something he could not fathom. Not after all he had lost. Perhaps before. Perhaps then he might have smiled, might have laughed her words off as the naive talk of a scareling. Which they were, in his eyes.

"Weak, yes. But humans deserve no pity." He spoke simply, and jabbed the flat of his palm up against her side. "Not when they can take practically everything from us. And have."

It was pretty clear that the horseman didn't really like humans. Simply couldn't fathom it the same way he couldn't come t terms with her opinion. Just too much variance between their views of the world. Still, it was true she'd never seen what he had. Never known it. To her they were rather amusing things meant for scaring. The proverbial cow that all scarelings grew up hearing about.

Even if she'd tasted the hurt that came from the rare few known as hunters already. Not that the quick hit to her side hurt any less as Kiwi's hand sent her stumble a few steps back with a pout. "But humans can be our friends." If they couldn't be just because someone said then horsemen couldn't be their friends either. Because not everyone liked them either. She knew that much. "If you treat them like an enemy then they will react like that, wouldn't you?" She tilted her head a bit at that, possibly having a moment of clarity. Not that anyone should look into it too much. But the fact was, if someone saw her as evil outright she would possibly be more inclined to see them as such.

...then again she didn't really think anyone was bad. So that didn't make too much sense. "Eh... well... you know?" Maybe he did.

He was beginning to understand that it was pointless trying to reason with her. She did make a good suggestion however. But even if he could bring himself not to resent the humans for what they had done, they were still a prime food source for his people. And whether through means of malice, or consideration, FEAR was still essential to their survival. In the end, some humans would have to die.

He bopped a hand lightly across the back of her head, and just smiled.

"... Perhaps one day, we could co-exist on some level," he answered. "But for now ..." He only crossed his arms.

It was likely for the best that it had dawned on Kiwi that, just maybe, he was trying to educate a rock. Thankfully, the fact he'd decided not to outright argue with her, even as he whacked her on her head and left her holding it with a pout it was for the best. He seemed only with the statement, which did draw a slow smile to her face eve as she rubbed at what might end up a bump. "See! That's how to think!" She stated, beaming rather happily at him-

Until that stance came back. "Aww, don't be a spoily sport!" He looked all firm like he wasn't going to agree again.

He squinted an eye at her, but thought better of voicing an opinion. She was looking pretty beat too, even with such a perky grin on her face. He wouldn't push her past her limit.

"Well then, is there anything else you wish to know, little one??" he asked more gently, stretching a bit to work out the tenseness between his shoulders.

She tilted her head a bit as his question, obviously thinking a bit. "Do all horsemen hate them? Because you should tell them to make friends too." It was less of a question and more of a suggestion, one she liked to think wasn't going to meet deaf ears.

But he wasn't a bad guy, so, it wasn't like he wouldn't listen. "And I'm going to win next time." She added, obviously realizing that perhaps they were done. For now. FOR NOW. But later, later she was going to totally win.

...that was not a question either.

He couldn't help but smile a bit at her statement, as ridiculous as the notion was. "For the most part. But I'll pass it along." He ruffled her hair lightly for good measure, and turned to leave. Her sudden challenge however brought a grin to his face.

"I look forward to it!" He called back. There was nothing he liked more after all, than a good fight.
