There was no time to think, and Sam wasn't exactly sentimental. She didn't choose, but was the kind of person that simply took any situation to her advantage, regardless of outcomes.

She didn't even notice Thackery's movement. To her, her priority was securing the Artifact, and Harrison, and the student was just there. Remi, Thackery, it didn't matter. They were all hostiles. She could, regardless of who they were, use it to her advantage.

In that quick a second, the net closed with an electric snap. Apologies would be made to Harrison later, but for now, she had the artifact-

- Or so she thought, as it slipped from between the creases of the net, falling downwards with loud clacks to land levels underneath her. Sam swore, but regardless, she pulled. One step at a time. She yanked the coiled string as hard as she could and dragged them straight into the portal.

Harrison was safe. There was possible a hostile with him, but they were on the Hunter's terms back inside the portal. The only problem was the artifact. Two left, and they both seemed engaged. She considered her options, and with a sigh, moved away from the portal, trying to get closer to where the artifact had fallen.
