STUDENTS: SO YOU ARE AT YOUR FINAL STAGE: NOW WHAT?

GRADUATION!

- On top of hitting Y3, that is when you hit Y3, it takes another 50 points to graduate. As this is a school, it does have very specific school curricula:
- In addition a graduation requires from your student's entire career:
At least 10 battle spars
At least 5 classes attended
At least 5 open classes finished

Points and meta substitution:
- you can SUBSTITUTE ANY of the above with a character's meta participation in in any of these listed meta events. HOWEVER, it is only a ONE TIME point. So for example, if you have character A, and they have participated in the HAUNTED HOUSE meta you can use that participation to substitute for either ONE battle spar, ONE class attended, or ONE open class finished. You cannot do all three, just ONE PER META. Your choice of in which category. They do not need to have participated in a class in that meta, they just need to have been active in that meta (over 600 words posted). It has to be THAT character who was in the meta as well!
- You can do this for a max of 5 points period. So that's 5 metas max of point substitution. (5 points max substitution per character).

gaia_crown [ Graduation How To ] : Congratulations! You have fulfilled the above conditions and are now ready for graduation! You will need to post your request for a GRADUATION EXAM HERE.

Once you have posted your declaration of graduation, you may cross yourself off and venture into the Graduation Dungeon. While the dungeon has been made with self-exploration in mind, it can be completed in a group.

- After the trial is completed, congratulations, your character officially gets their diploma and is now considered an Alumni:

Please note that the decision to change graduation from a special exam to a special dungeon was made on the basis of making it self-paced, thus granting the players the power and flexibility to run their character's plots on their own time rather than waiting on admin.

gaia_crown [ Alumni Status ]
- Alumni are considered still part of Amityville. They can return for school and classes, but they can also TEACH classes. Any alumni can offer to teach any class! Simply pm WE ARE HALLOWEEN regarding your class idea! You will be able to teach other students, like a guest teacher.
- In addition, Alumni are always allowed to attend classes. Amityville believes that the school is open to anyone who wants to learn, including returning students (aka Alumni).
- Alumni do NOT get to post for official growth art, but you can request alt art of your alumni through bribes, alt art customs, and irl bribes.
- In addition Halloween Town has opened up for your character. You can create a business. You can join businesses, rp with citizens, and create a home in Halloween Town. You are not bound to stay in the campus in Amityville (though you may if you prefer to as many Alumni choose to do so!)

- Alumni are given 2d12-6, the final dice bonus. Their HP is raised to 60/60 HP.
- Alumni gain an extra T2 level Fear!
- In addition, Alumni can create their own [ HOUSE ] in Halloween Town. Decorate it and locate it as you please!

gaia_crown [ Alumni and creating classes ]
- Alumni may guest teach classes. Choose a topic that your alumni character is interested in and think of a fun way to present it. Open classes are a great idea of how those work! Classes must be taught IN Amityville, but using any of the school's resources.
- Propose your class idea to WE ARE HALLOWEEN. Once approved, you may run your class in the classrooms subforum! Feel free to pimp it out as you need to!


RP BONUS POINTS AND YOU!

- So your character is now an Alumni and also still has lots of bonus RP points leftover. This is where you go to redeem in extra RP points you have earned. The rp points you used to grow your character do not count, these have to be rp points that you have earned AS a Y3 or Alumni
- Once these points are used up for each option, you have to earn more again! You cannot overlap points. For example, if I have 25 points, I would have to choose an option that requires 25 points or less!

SO YOU ARE AT YOUR FINAL STAGE: NOW WHAT?

In addition to being an ALUMNI your character now has full access to all the citizen activities in Halloween Town. They can run and start their own businesses, create their own orps and invite others, as well as do all the ALUMNI activities listed above!
- Your character is no longer of student status but considered ALUMNI. However just for event and naming convenience, all "STUDENT" based GM orps and events are open for them to be involved in and gather around simply because they always have a reason to hang around the campus and learn!
- Basically your character has a JOB OPPORTUNITY along with everything else
- We will also be doing career openings. These are open for GRADUATED/ ALUMNI characters. Career openings can include things such as Bogeymen spots open and so on so forth. They may provide a minor GM-like role (in creating activities and events!) in that position and allow your character as well to complete tasks of that position and in turn, teach other students about that career position. Keep an eye out for more information on CAREER OPENINGS!

GRAD FAQ

Q: Is it 50 points from 150 points post Y3, or is it 50 points period?
- After your student has taken their exam and is officially at Y3, their point tally towards grad starts. They will need 50 points to apply for graduation. That's from Y3 blank slate. If you already have a lot of points from being Y3, then that means you have extra points to spend for the above bonuses! Any additional points gained from being Y2 or Y1 do not count.

Q: Can my character participate in the metas?
- Yes! like horsemen, your characters are of "alumni" or honoured guest status. In fact Grad students function a lot like horsemen! They can participate or create classes as well as function with their daily lives.

Q: What counts as a PVP?
- Anything posted in the HAUNTED HOUSE subforum is a PVP, as long as it is over 600 words. This includes any gm prps that take place in there! This does NOT include ORPS.

Q: What happens if my character was a Y1 when they participated in a meta?
- Metas are EXCEPTIONS. They count regardless of whatever year your character was in. Keep in mind it IS a max of 5 interchangeable credits!

Q: What counts as a CLASS?
- Any GM ORP taught by a PROFESSOR (a character with PROFESSOR in their name really or any run by gms) is essentially a CLASS along with CLASS ORPS.
- Field Trip ORPS count as classes.
- An exception are GM ORPS related to metas or any events with Arel in it since he's not really a professor.

Q: Do the ten spars/ etc have to be during Y3?
- It no longer has to be! As long as your student fulfilled the requirement in any year, this is fine!

Q: Is there an IRL time limit between when my character hits Y3 and how long I have to wait to apply to become an alumni?
- Nope. While it is theoretically possible to hit Y3 and then come up with the 50 RP point requirements to hit alumni within a week, we do not encourage this on the belief that anyone insane enough to try it will fall over dead. Take your time!
