My 10-year-old cousin just made me tear up at work.

His family walks in the American Heart Association's Heart Walk every year. His parents posted his thoughts on this year's walk on Facebook a few minutes ago:

AHA can help people with special hearts and heart defects. I like to support AHA because I have Tetralogy of Fallot. When I was a baby, I was in the NICU because I had Tetralogy of Fallot. I had 3 heart surgeries and 5 angioplasties to fix the two holes in my heart. Now I have a cow valve in my heart.

Now I like to play tackle basketball and hockey for fun. I play guitar, too. When I grow up I want to be an astronaut, an author, a rock star, and an actor.

I like heart walk day because it’s fun to be outside in the morning and you get to take a walk with your family, which is fun too.

Please donate some money to AHA to help doctors study more ways to help kids with special hearts.

He turns 11 in October. This is his 10th walk; he's walked (or has been pushed in a stroller) in them every year since he was born.
