Natural Ability: In Mina's case, her family draws upon a special magic that allows all members to summon a type of knight. Each knight's powers and abilities vary according to the user's. But overall, it acts as a puppet. It can be very powerful, but it also has a great disadvantage. If the knight sustains damage, so does the user. If the user sustain a large amount damage, the knight will disappear.)
To summarize, she is able to summon a weapon from her gem, or a puppet knight.
Background: Wilhemina (known as Mina) is the younger daughter born into the wealthy, prestigious Von Brandt family. Her older brother is called Reinhart, who is the heir of the family. Reinhart has been praised as the genius of the family known for his talents and gifts. He excels at all that he does. While her parents are extremely proud of the oldest, they are disappointed by the younger.
Personality: Most people, at first, assume that Wilhelmina is shy, quiet, and sometimes snobby girl because of her appearance and background. However, this is untrue. In reality, she is really bad at academics. Positively put, she can be a sweetheart. She is a little ditzy but kind, considerate, and gentle with others. Most times, she doesn't really have a motive to her actions. She just adapts to the flow of her surroundings. The way the thinks is quite simple-minded. She is truthful with her words and at times, she can say bold and embarrassing things quite easily. (By extension, she is horrible at lying. Her lies usually leave others quite baffled.) Unfortunately, she can be incredibly dense at the same time. She is often called an air-headed or an idiot, but does not understand why. There are moments when she can seem incredibly smart or stupid. The littlest things constantly amaze her but at the same time, trivial issues can send her into a panic. One never knows what she may say next, or what her reaction will be.
On a side note, she hates water. She will not absolutely get near it unless necessary.
FEAR Ability: Mina's fear falls into the barrier-type and supportive category, where she is able to summon a large knight whose possesses a high defense capacity. The knight is equipped with a large body mass that supports the use of a giant shield to defend or barricade from oncoming attacks. It is generally resistant to physical and magical attacks though with her current power standing, it can only last a short period of time. The knight also serves as a puppet, so it can be used for other purposes like carrying people, objects, etc.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Mina came to this school for several reasons. First, her brother was recently married. This recent change of events led her to consider her position in the family. She felt that if she stayed, she might be a burden on their new family. This motivated her to take action and leave her country in a journey to explore a world beyond. She had heard that Amityville Academy accommodated a wide array of students. Politely put, they were notorious for their "activities." In an attempt to escape the rigid world she had lived in, she applied to Amityville. This will be her first year there.
