A whole quarter of my class had that as their answer.
I'm tempted to search for a viking helmet and wear it in class when I pass back the tests on Saturday, but I doubt they'll get it.

My 6th graders keep putting "Grease" instead of "Greece". And 3 out of 32 have actually seen the musical, "Grease". Ha.

Well, those are homonyms, so I can see how they would confuse those. I have kids who still don't know the basic phonetic differences between the vowels.

One of my 3rd graders from last semester kept spelling "six" as "sex". And then a bunch of them misspelled "wrap" as "rape" on a spelling test.
