Moon & Sun - Does the 'hands on' operations, more tied to execution of missions, attacking, assaulting, defense, repair, and guarding work. Moon is related more to repair/rescue and defense while sun is related more to offense.
Death - The "intelligence" operation, in charge of gathering information and maintaining the network of Hunters. They gather the information prior to a mission.
Life - Related to "research", including research specifically OF Halloween, its specimens, and ultimately Fear and the abilities of Fear and Hunters.
Mist - The group that does not have one specified role but fills in for everyone. A jack of all trades master of none group, they are usually asked to take missions from all four categories, but as a result do not get "specialized field" missions.

America was born on the 4th of July into a family consisting of a well-meaning dad and buttload of enthusiastic uncles. Realizing that the entire nation wasn't necessarily celebrating her birthday specifically was something that she realized later in life, and by then she was already a loud and proud young woman with a distinct sense of self-importance.
Flaws
- thoughtless : other people's feelings aren't really a concern for her. If she's not offended, you shouldn't be either.
- impulsive : she prefers to take action the moment it occurs to her that an action needs to be taken.
- loud : she ain't no wallflower and when America talks, she means to be heard.
- egotistical : she was born with a destiny on the birthday of the independence of the greatest country in the world, her namesake, America. She's pretty sure this makes her awesome, important, and a bit better than you, not that you aren't special or something. You just aren't her.
Virtues
- hard working : she doesn't believe in the easy way or giving less than 120%. If you want something, you work for it.
- honest : there's no such thing as a little white lie. A lie is a lie is a lie, and that's not how she rolls. She'll tell you the truth as she sees it, no matter what the subject, and generally won't bother to smudge things up to make them seem nicer.
- confident : she's rarely too unsure or embarrassed to take action or present her ideas. She has a solid sense of self-worth that doesn't depend on other people's approval.
- skilled : between seeing herself as a future hero of sorts and a motley assortment of uncles, America has picked up tons of small skills along the way. From Camping, hunting, sewing, car repair, taxidermy, gardening, rock climbing, and first aid, to escaping from the trunk of a moving car and wire tapping. She doesn't have thorough knowledge or mastery of any one thing, though, and more creative or computer-centric skills are beyond her. (Not that she'd admit to it.) Think of America as an Eagle Scout on steroids.
If America was "Born in the USA" then Stryker is a "Blaze of Glory." As a phoenix he was a reckless and flashy monster with a tendency to posture while taking himself very seriously. He wanted to be tough as nails and someone not to be treated lightly. He was a voluntary weaponization after having seen the gritty yet cool hunters stand aloof in their white, flaring coats, deadly weapons held with confidence and glowing with the promise of violence.
As a weapon, Stryker is a bit less impulsive than than America, but still often encourages her more reckless behavior, not to mention dramatics and posturing. He tends to act a bit more experienced and world-wise than he really is, and in turn, America thinks of him much the same as she did her uncles. He's someone to listen to and respect as long as what he's saying something she's interested in hearing.
Why did your human character choose to become a Hunter?
America always knew she was important, and when she began to see things other people couldn't, things that left chills and uneasiness in the air? It was a confirmation and a direction. Even if she didn't know what her ability meant, it was only going to be a matter of time before one government agency or another picked her up and trained her to be the Hero of the Free World. When Deus finally came knocking after graduation and before she enlisted, America was more than ready to join and fully realize her destiny.
Too bad it's a destiny she apparently shares with every other goddamn person in Deus.
