... actually wow, yeah, You met him briefly.
I didn't want to say anything on Facebook because not only was I a wreck but we tried to keep everything really low-key. His funeral was closed-casket, not because he looked bad but just to keep everything as minimal as possible. Half the town showed up, though, and that was really sweet.

It's awesome that a lot of people showed up though. Shows what an impact he had on people!

It was really nice to know, too. Nobody ever had a bad thing to say about him and it was the first time any of us ever realized it.

It was the same way when one of my cousins died a few months back. It's always really reassuring to know that they left a positive impact on peoples' lives, and you can hope that you do the same thing. It puts things into perspective.
