What should I ask for?? I'll be 27. My family are the only people I expect and kindof demand things from. I haven't got a clue what to ask for....

Hmmmm...well is there anything you're particularly interested in? Or a particular brand of something that you like? Or perhaps an amazon wishlist or something similar?
I have similar issues on what to ask for so I try to break down by interest. Keeping things like an amazon wishlist also helped me remember.

I need to start some things! emotion_donotwant It just helped me, especially since I just couldn't come right now and ask. So putting them on something where I could point and make childish noises at instead of having to voice something. xD
Oooh, I know what you mean. I've done that a few times.
Or like, I'll see something like an art supply I really could use or maybe a shirt that would look nice, make a note of it, then when things like my birthday or Christmas come up and people ask me what I want I always say I dunno or nothing.

I expect my sisters to KNOW me. but they don't. when I say movies....I get Furngully. well, they know I like the childish kind of things, but...ew...I hate Furngully! and I would think they'd have figured out my favorite color is no longer purple!! I keep asking for my Redwall books back, why not help me begin collecting them again?? They know I'm a lover of Lord of the Rings....there's lots of merchandise out there....or possibly the movies, perhaps?? ACK!

Like I've told them countless times that I actually really like the Disney Princess films. They get so shocked despite me telling them constantly. I've even had discusses about Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter with my aunt and SHE STILL HAS GOTTEN SURPRISED BY FINDING OUT THAT I WAS INTERESTED IN THEM.
It's like they only pay attention to minor facts and assumptions they make and not the overall. I can't count the number of Christmases I've gotten presents and go "Where the heck did this come from and what am I supposed to do." My fav. is one where my uncle just got me a wicker basket, he was just like, "Here, something practical you could use" and I was never so happen in my life for something like that. I still use that basket.
I shouldn't have to remind them that when I bring up something, doesn't mean I actually want it.
