[ Graduation Dungeon ] Amphi & Danny

Danny nodded, feeling the weight of all the events thusfar on her shoulders. She was tired of wandering through doors at the whim of the doors. She was going to take things into control.

"Let's go in that locked room," she asserted, marching over to it and melting the doorknob right off it. "We're busting out!"

What she found inside was ... well ...

The large, Green Knight plants itself in your way. Beyond it you can see something glimmering, something you want really badly: your diploma.

A large, shadowy javelin suddenly appears between your feet as you try to step forward.

"HALT. YOU SHALL NOT PASS."

Of course it was going to end with a fight. You ready yourself and prepare for combat!

THE GUARDIAN HP ???/???
gaia_crown For every hit: take -5 HP auto damage.
gaia_crown For every miss: take -10 HP auto damage.
gaia_crown If you die: you respawn at full HP. Keep on truckin!
gaia_crown To defeat: successfully hit the boss three times and roll 1d10 for a finisher. You don't need to hit it three times in a row; just three times total!
gaia_crown Finishing Rolls:
- 1-3: You miss entirely. Hit the boss three times again, then reroll.
- 4-7: You are reasonably successful. It's nothing impressive, but it gets the job done.
- 8-10: You do something really cool and impressive, like hit the Guardian so hard that its armor flies off and it dissipates like the badass you are.
gaia_crown Rolled 1-3 three times? Go ahead and take the reasonably successful finisher to get the job done. In addition, your diploma also has a misshapen gold star that reads: "u treid."

Amphi followed after Danny, holding her breath as it opened to reveal...

A VERY LARGE BEING.

"EEP!!" She squeaked, hiding behind Danny.

"We have to fight this thing?"

In the large picture, Amphi managed to throw her shoe at the creature. TAKE THAT SIR.

Amphi: 45/50

Danny, following in suit, chucked her shoe at the beast. She patted Amphi on the side, putting her hands on Amphi's shoulders.

"C'mon he's not so bad! We can do this!" She then turned back to the beast and made a mean face. Yes, that would show him.

Danny HP: 45/50
DMG: 6

Hits: 2/3

And then the other shoe went flying.

But her mark was way off and Amphi gave Danny pitiful eyes.

Danny looked at Amphi and patted her on the head. Then she turned back to the enemy and raised her fists. "I'll protect you princess Amphi!"

She then ran forward, leapt in the air and shot fireballs downwards at the knighted hero. "Go Amphi! Now!"

DMG: 4

MERMAID SPARKLING FINISHING SPLASH BLAST

The encouragement from Danny helped...

And then Amphi failed to finish the creature off.

Of course she did.

Danny came and threw herself at Amphi, tackling the girl out of the way of a nasty hit. "Be careful Amphi!"

She also threw a fireball at the knight. Angry Danny was angry.

Amphi wasn't sure if she wanted to fight anymore but..when Danny came to her rescue, she sparkled at the ghoul.

And threw Danny's other shoe. Don't ask.

Amphi: 20/50
Hits: 2/3

Danny and Amphi just had a connection. Using each others' shoes were A OK.

Danny, however, opted for fireballs.

And then Amphi was like:



and the big guardian fell over.

"I...I DID IT." SHE DID IT DANNY, SHE DID IT.

Danny clapped as Amphi defeated the evil knight (of course, she knew Amphi could do it. Didn't doubt it for a second). She stood there for only a moment, and then ran to Amphi to pick her up in a hug.

"Amphi we did it! We did it!!" She said, nearly kissing the ghoul smack on the lips she was so excited. She then proceeded to princess style carry Amphi to the room where their diplomas waited.

Danny, having set Amphi down, stared at it proudly. She'd actually accomplished something. No one had expected much out of her when she came- actually, they probably would continue to expect next to nothing out of her, but at least ... at least now she could show them her diploma. She'd worked just as hard as anybody else in this world- maybe even harder- and now she had proof of it.

She looked to her mermaid friend. Words? What did she even say? All she could think to do was throw her arms around Amphi in another hug. "We're gonna graduate ..."

Amphi squeaked as she was picked up, flushing as Danny carried her princess style to the room with the diploma's.

She was set down, and as Danny went to hers, Amphi went to hers and held her hands out. Afraid to even touch the paper. But there it was, right within her grasp. When her hands touched the paper, it was like a weight lifted.

She felt like she did something. She DID something.

"We graduated..." She said in wonder, looking over to Danny with her paper:

"We did it, We graduated." Amphi didn't expect to make it this far. All the trouble with hunters, with horseman. With fellow students. They all melted away. She had survived, she had made it to the final year...she was graduating high school. She was graduating Amityville.

She held the star pendant, a small tear dropping. She had done it big sister. She was finally a adult of Halloween world, she hoped you were proud. She hoped to Jack you could see this.

"I'm so happy." Amphi burrowed her head in Danny's shoulders, "I'm so happy we did it."

Danny detached from the hug (not because Amphi was crying or anything, though ... that might have been a factor) and instead took the mermaid's hand.

"C'mon! We gotta go show everyone!!"
