He’d heard about the Haunted House from older hunters, some who had been as experienced as he was now when they’d gone into it. With the portals at least somewhat working, Solomon had determined it was time to go in - to see what it was he was really up against besides just large glowing sparks of angry. He was looking at you, Kaiju Insanity Titans. The first impression was that the building was very....
“s**t, man, how does this even work...” Solomon had been standing in front of the same door for almost 10 minutes, opening and closing it over and over again and seeing the scene on the other side of the door change every time he did so. Which lead him to believe that going back the way he’d came would not take him back to Deus. That was unfortunate because otherwise, Solomon actually wasn’t certain of how he was going to be getting back where he’d come from.
Besides maybe being lost in the Haunted House until he got out of it. That was always an option.
With this inevitability in mind, he finally stopped his door-hopping to pick a room. It was a large room and stepping into it there appeared to be no ceiling. He looked up at what looked like sky for a long time and Aren thrummed with appreciation for the sight. It’s so clear! And Blue! It was much prettier than the sky on the island, even if it too was clear and blue all the time lately. Maybe it was just because it was a different, less ominous blue.
He only had a short amount of time to admire the blue sky before the room rumbled, a smash signifying the breaking of a door frame. Solomon started, turning towards the door he’d come through where an even taller than him shape stood, eyes shifting between blue and yellow as she gave him a long curious look before she stepped in and started to put the door back where it had been before she’d ruined it. The building seemed to reassimilate it easily despite what looked like severe damage.
Her toes curled in the grass, the ring of color in her eyes shifting back to that docile blue as she - Solomon could tell that it was female, somehow - sat in the grass to enjoy just how pleasant this room was. Solomon sat down with her, cautiously and the creature looked back to him, eyes shifting to yellow. There was a long, evaluating look before they shifted back to blue again and she just rumbled. “You are a hunter?” she asked and Solomon’s shoulders tensed. “y-Yeah.” It was hard to not be a little bit nervous when her hand was as big as his head, “And you’re from Halloween?” he asked. She rumbled even louder and Solomon fell over as the earth shook underneath him from the massiveness of her form - it went beyond her body. “I am.” she answered.
Then silence. Was he supposed to attack her when she was just enjoying some nice sky and grass just like he was? Would he get in trouble for not attacking her? He’d just lie and say he hadn’t met her. That seemed like it was the safest option. “So what are you?” Solomon asked suddenly and Sura’s large eyes looked at him with that evaluating yellow again. “A Colossus,” she replied slowly. Maybe Solomon just attracted their company. Aren chuckled in his head, the two voices merging together in the same way this Colossus’ voice did. “Aren’s a Colossus too,” he said, holding up one arm to show the serpentine bracer he wore.
Sura’s eyes shifted to a yellow as she looked to the bracer he was showing her. “Arenam?” she asked. Solomon barely got out a “Yes” before the large female from Halloween was suddenly twisting, reforming as the stones that already stuck out on her body became a mess of ruins and old walls, hair hanging from her body and her tail swinging around wildly. The grass suddenly became mud under her thick heavy paws and despite the fact Aren suddenly shouted in his head Don’t answer that! RUN!, Solomon had barely gotten moving as a large paw came swinging at him.
”GIVE ME BACK MY BROTHER.” she roared, those once docile and sweet eyes a threatening red looking down at him.

Unfortunately for Solomon, he didn’t just get a stomping angry paw, the one he was stabbing suddenly reeled up as well as the Colossus snarled, bringing all paws down at once on him, Aren making a noise in his head as the pair dug themselves out from under those paws, their FEAR shield completely ripped to shreds.
Pushing himself up to his feet (and his knee saying ‘hi, I hate you a*****e’) he began to run for the door that was on the farther side of the field, shooting a look back over his shoulder at the Colossus coming after him, before he threw himself into the door. Claws grazed his coat before he managed to slam the door behind him, leaving him panting and now even more lost inside of that house with a barely held together shield to get out with.
Bring someone next time, hahaha! And not just us! That was a biggun!
Solomon had to agree.
