[1v1] Hold it in (Tomoko vs Gene)

This was what all those ghouls did in the dumb summer rom-coms after being broken up with, right? They wrapped their hands in tape, got into their cutest gym outfit, and punched the stuffing out of a bag that talked back. Right?

Well, Gene certainly hoped she was doing this right. She wasn't new to heartbreak (see: Mort) but she was completely unfamiliar with being broken up with. It was a liar in her belly, telling her she wasn't worth the boil's time. Mot had clearly explained it all to her, that he just didn't love her the way she did him - and that was okay. It didn't prevent her from feeling awful, however.

Tomoko had gone to the gym for a similar but different reason than Gene. Yes it boiled down to a guy as well as a lingering disappointment, but for her it was her father and knowing what would be coming of her graduating.

She needed to be able to tell him she was not coming home and be able to back herself up - something she had spent three years not even trying to do. But now she had a reason to step up her game - a little blue haired reason who deserved to live with family and not with a stranger. Not to just be visited by their mother every now and then. A baby brother who deserved as good as she had.

Noticing she wasn't alone when she stepped in, she smiled sheepishly towards Gene as she went to start pulling out a dummy.

Punching the dummy squarely in the face caused it to swing away enough for Gene to see the small ghoul that'd just stepped into the gym and began to pull out her own dummy. Smiles were exchanged, and Gene finished her dummy off with a few more punches and kicks.

Seating herself on a bench and wiping some sweat on her forehead with a towel, the Doppelganger watched the other ghoul for a while. She was rather... terrible. "You have to actually want to hit it, you know." She called to the Kitsune, getting up and walking to her. "Put your back into it, pivot your feet. You'll never hit something coming at you like that."
