When I woke up yesterday, I had no idea I'd be planning an application to a new job by the end of the day.
Anyway, it's a Administrative Assistant III in my old department (they moved from DC to MD two years ago, so going back would be easy. They're literally in the building next door.) on the litigation team. It's my old department but I'll be doing s**t I haven't done before, or haven't done for years.
I'm currently an Admin II.
It's also a grade level above me. I'm currently a 42 and the position is either for a 42 if the applicant has 4 years experience and a 43 if they have 6. I have 10.
Grade level increase also means more money.
Anyway I applied then almost cried because I ******** hate sudden change and I'm going to miss everyone I work with if I get it, but s**t happens and I don't like the direction my current job is going, so I can either suck it up and fester, or go do something a wee bit scary and get more money.
I'm better now. I won't hear back for a while, maybe towards the end of next week at the earliest.
I'm qualified. I should be a solid candidate.
