Now I'm kinda a grammar Nazi. Good grammar has its place in different areas.
Not claiming to be perfect by any means.
In my opinion and thoughts...
If you're trying to write a persuasive article, it's not a crime to type incorrectly. However, how many people can take a article full of :
Quote:

5 reasonz y teens r much kooler than adults n 4ever will b

1. We r da txt generation.
2. we own prom nite
3 jst coz we b , yung n krunk;
4. Dont mean we aint gonna get gud gradez n shizz!
5 coz we r bettr, u jus jelly

Seriously?
Of course there's hopefully nothing that bad out there but if there was the unpersuaded people would remain just that, unpersuaded.

A poorly written article on fashion trends the writer wish would not exist

Not only is it poorly written, 'your' mistaken with 'you're', misspelled words, missing commas and places where commas have no business being located; it's also lacking persuasive evidence.
"Oh my gosh! I love your skull tee shirt." Said no one ever.

Really? I speak from experience when I say I've worn skull tees and got compliments.

I don't think many people would bother to agree, its already hard enough for such a opinionated topic. Its execution is so sad. Of course that's my opinion, but after reading the comments, I know I'm not alone...

Fashion blogs and lists are things that I will never like nor understand. Probably because I'm not into fashion. Anyway, the thing is that it's all subjective and that's what people, even writers don't understand is that it's not factual.

As for not using grammar, that's more of a minor thing. It's more of the bulk of the message that I don't take seriously. Especially when I got to religious clothing. Crosses are in style and on clothing because there are Christians that believe in the whole "Wear it loud, wear it proud" thing. Meaning they're not afraid to show their religion and shouldn't be.

See reading that bit made me roll my eyes. Not because of the spelling or grammar mistakes but the content of what the writer wrote. It's obvious that they didn't do much research on their subject.

In other news you should check out CM Punk's Grammar Slam. It's educational but hilarious at the same time. I think I posted it in the Entertainment subforum..
