BBC's World at War- The Final Solution part 1

Additional footage from BBC's world at war not used in the original run, later revisited and narrated by Eric Porter. They chiefly concern the "Final Solution" and the genocide against Jewish civilians. Graphic imagery is contained.

I don't own the rights to this, obviously, but it's something that needs seeing by as many people as possible, especially when you consider the rise of holocaust denial in recent years.

Note to viewer; The narrator wrongly attributes these ideas to Christianity in the opening statements. A Christian who follows Jesus, knows that Jesus was not a Christian (He was the Christ) but Jewish, and know what he as a Christian owes the Jewish people. It is twisting or misinterpretation of Scripture to allows for a hatred of the Jewish people. The origin of hatred of the Jewish people, or any particular nationality or racism (the belief that your people is racially superior of others), is not God.

Some quotes of Hitler (1941-44) on Christianity;

Night of 11th-12th July, 1941: "National Socialism and religion cannot exist together.... The heaviest blow that ever struck humanity was the coming of Christianity. Bolshevism is Christianity's illegitimate child. Both are inventions of the Jew. The deliberate lie in the matter of religion was introduced into the world by Christianity.... Let it not be said that Christianity brought man the life of the soul, for that evolution was in the natural order of things." (Bormann 1953, pp. 6-7).

10th October, 1941, midday: "Christianity is a rebellion against natural law, a protest against nature. Taken to its logical extreme, Christianity would mean the systematic cultivation of the human failure." (Bormann 1953, p. 43).

14th October, 1941, midday: "The best thing is to let Christianity die a natural death.... When understanding of the universe has become widespread... Christian doctrine will be convicted of absurdity.... Christianity has reached the peak of absurdity.... And that's why someday its structure will collapse.... ...the only way to get rid of Christianity is to allow it to die little by little.... Christianity the liar.... We'll see to it that the Churches cannot spread abroad teachings in conflict with the interests of the State." (Bormann 1953, pp. 49-52).

My grandmother is from the generation when this happened. She told me about a Jewish family in the town Ålesund (the Steinfelds) that was sent off to Auschwitz. 760 Norwegian Jews were arrested and sent off to concentration camps during the war, only 25 of these survived.
