Popo yelped, a shrill cry from pain as her wrist was twisted in Gene's strong grip. However, the little demon never accepted defeat. She'd fight dirty if need be. She was a princess in her own right. She'd never accept otherwise. She would never accept the will of others.

She was above it. Above them all.

Poppy spat on Gene's face as her response.

Gene stared in disgust at Popo, wiping the spittle off her face with a normal, reaper like but silver skinned hand. This little twerp thought she could get away with anything, didn't she? She thought herself above them all, as though she sat on the throne of Halloween.

Gene disliked spoiled brats, but didn't know she hated entitled and spoiled brats. She only hated Mac and Hel because they were rude. This child, however, was on a whole different plane.

Perhaps, she thought as the gunshot like crack rang through the atmosphere, this encounter would crack her false crown

A shriek that could rip through ear drums rang loud through the school yard. Popo started crying, big fat tears dribbling from her eyes. This ghoul had HURT her! Physically injured her delicate and pristine wrist!

The little ghoul hung listlessly from Gene's grasp like a toddler throwing a tantrum, bawling her eyes out mostly out of ceremony rather than pain. She wanted everyone to know what a bully Gene was. The world would know! Gene would pay for this insubordination!

Gene's motherly personality was apparently nowhere to be found as she continued to stare at Popo, eyes dead as she placed her on the ground to writhe and bawl like the child she was. "Amity isn't a place for spoiled shits like you. We're a family here, and we protect each other from threats that may come - stress of life, finals, or big evil men in white coats wielding terrible weapons. All you'd do is hide in the back, sniveling and crying like a little baby and making others protect you."

She floated above Poppy, shaking her head. 'Go home to your castle, spoiled brat. Or, learn to be something more than your pathetic self. Something is coming, little Imp. Get in or get lost."

And with that, Gene phased through the ground and back to her room.

She stopped crying as soon as Gene was gone, her glare cold and calculating.

"Spoiled. Peasant. This is not family." She scoffed, spitting on the ground Gene had been. "Snooty third year scum."

The demon flipped her hair and sashayed away from the scene.
