[ 1 v 1 ] Wibbly Wobbly (Xavier vs Helmut)

It was terribly liberating to be able to let himself go a little bit; Xavier never would have acted in such a silly way before, but something about having an actual friend, having someone to play around with made some of the anxiety ease, even if it was just for a little bit.

Helmut's hair really was very soft.

For a few brief shining moments, Xavier thought he had won - but then Helmut was back to flailing around, and Xavier gave a squeal of surprise, poking at her side.

"If I'm a featherhead, you're a - a - a squashy...thing!"

Clearly there was a need to work on some of his more creative insults.

At some point during the struggle she managed to twist around to face him, her knees raised tight to her chest and her feet firmly planted on his stomach. She laughed, yelped, and squeaked her way through the change, and somehow also managed to capture one of his arms between both of hers; like last time, she sank her teeth into nothing but sleeve.

"Ahmnah!" She cried into the fabric, right before omitting an incredibly playful growl.

Xavier made a half strangled, wheezing sort of noise that was also partially a laugh, struggling to push Helmut's feet away from his stomach. She was giggling immensely and so was he, in a very un-Xavier like way, and when she grabbed his arm he gave a little shriek, laughter bubbling from his throat.

"Leggo leggo," he squealed, swiping his arm back and forth. "Not food."

The stammer had almost disappeared entirely.

Her laughter was breathless and gasping, and her whole body was getting more and more tired; but she was determined to see this to the end, and she wasn't out for the count just yet. She let out a noise - something akin to neverrrrrrr! and yes food! if she had tried to say them at the same time - and headbutted his arm.

Well, tried to.

It didn't work.

But she tried.

With one last squawk, Xavier pushed his own head into Helmut's arm, probably a little too hard, and then flopped half on top of her, trying to regain some of his breath.

"I think," he gasped, "We're just about done, wouldn't you say?"

He head butted her, and it was as though all the fight fled from her tiny form. Her giggled tapered off and she released her death grip on his arm to just a lazy hug, her legs no longer pushing at his stomach.

"Oof!" She gasped as he flopped on her again, but didn't start another round - she was exhausted. "Y-yeah..." The tiny ghoul agreed breathlessly, curling up to cuddle into him; playtime was over, it was soon to be nap time now too. "You win this time I guesssssss.." She mumbled teasingly before pressing her face into his dishevelled robes.

His face was flushed from both the excitement of fighting and the silly playing that had stemmed from fighting, but also because in spite of being friends now, it was still taking some getting used to having someone near to him. Xavier wrapped his arms around Helmut's small frame and curled up beside her as she did the same to him, his feathery hair falling over the both of them.

"Next time you can w-win," Xavier told her, and pushed his face into her fluffy head of hair. "In the meantime, I think a b-break is g-good for us. Maybe a nap."

Fighting was tiring, after all.

"NOPE!" Helmut managed to cry out without yawning. "You won fair and square! I don't wanna be given a win that's easy!" She insisted, turning her head to glance at the blanket of black feathers that covered the pair of them. One tiny hand dislodged from his clothing to pet one of the feathers, and run it between her little claws; Xavier seemed to have a similar thought with her own hair, and she let out a giggle. This was fun!

"Carry me!" She almost immediately insisted to his suggestion. Naps were to always be agreed to, but moving to said nap didn't sound entirely pleasant.

Xavier let out a sound that was something like a sigh of exasperation mingled with amusement. He felt Helmut's hand pat his hair, and it made him smile a little, his cheeks slightly flushed. With a heave, he hauled himself up off of the floor and dragged Helmut's tiny frame with him, gesturing for her to climb onto his back.

"Let's go, little fluff," he told her.

Helmut, who hadn't expected he would actually do it, let out a shriek of delight - albeit a somewhat tired one - and practically jumped to her feet. It looked like she was about to pounce on him without a second thought, but at the last moment, she paused. Then she ran away from him, skidding to a halt and quickly reaching grab the antlers of her helmet, pulling it free from where it had fallen. Once it was back on her head, she scrambled back to her giant of a friend and, though perhaps a little belatedly, pounced on him, clinging with both arms and legs.

"GO!" She yelled too close to his ear, and pointed forward.

Xavier nearly toppled over with the force of Helmut's leap, but he managed to stay upright looping his arms around her thin legs to keep her in place. Her voice rang loudly in his ear, and he winced at first, but then a small, almost shy smile replaced the wince, Xavier's cheeks flushing.

"To y-your room, then!" he said, and began to bound away in the direction she was pointing.
