Aisha took some time to herself and began to rework what she started. The full skeleton body turned into just a round skull. She occasionally glanced at Rojo, using him as a model from a silent distance.

She painted it with day-glo neons and set it to dry. "Better?"

He did as he was told with a smile, bending his head to work on his own project while she figured out hers. At least he'd made her laugh. Laughing was important.

All he had nearby was a small stack of plain white paper and the rubber cement from earlier, but he got to work anyway, ripping the paper into strips and rolling them up. He pasted them together in a seemingly random pattern at first, but after a while he ended up lying his creation flat on the table and mirroring what he had done so far. He continued adding little paper tubes in places he thought were pleasing, eventually stopping when he had something he might have identified as a snowflake had he ever seen one.

He looked up when she addressed him again, leaning over to get a better look at her work.

"Ooo, yes! Very nice!" He reached for some of her paints, dropping a couple of specks in some of the corners of whatever he had made. "Mine is a... thing." He was pleased with it, at least.
