Natural Ability: Charisma: This species has a natural boost in charisma, and seductive lure. He needs people to naturally be around him, because of his need to feed, so a natural boost in charisma/attraction to others helps.
Personality:
+/-Charismatic - Charismatic? Check. Shameless flirt? Check. Ability to put that to it's proper use? Che- *trips* What can you say, every demon has to start somewhere. While the charisma is bred into you, being able to put it to it's proper use takes actual practice. Nova hasn't grown into 'handsome' yet, but he's got 'adorably cute' down to an art.
+Friendly - Nova is very open and friendly. He's willing to give anyone a chance, even if he isn't too sure of just what they are. He's up beat and always wants to be in the thick of things when he gets the chance.
- Hyper - He can become hyper, leading to talking too much and bouncing in place. Be aware though that if he get's too hyper...
- No Boundaries - He tends to forget social boundaries. Nova may lay his head on your shoulder, stand between the knees of sitting creeple he's talking to, or even try to drag you off and dress you up like a Gothic doll.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? : Mostly because he's the first child in the family to show any real talent with FEAR manipulation, so his parents want him to get a real education in using it. It would also be nice for him to get some friends his own age instead of always being with his younger siblings and their friends.
FEAR Ability: Year 1 - Shatter - A distance attack. Nova focus' his Fear into a pair of swift moving Crystalline Orbs that are launched at the target, if they hit they shatter into dozens of pieces. (This can get into the eyes or simply be irritating enough, but also runs the risk of just missing altogether - hence the choice of fear type below.)
FEAR Type Double Take - Has a chance to disable the target, forcing them to skip a turn. By focusing their Fear, users of this particular art can empower themselves to deliver two powerful attacks in rapid succession. Of course, being able to hit anything is another story all together.
Tier One: Dice: 4d6 First Two Dice: Add the first two dice and subtract 6. This is the damage of the first attack. Last Two Dice: Add these two dice together and subtract 6. This is the damage of your second attack.
Physical Description:
Eye Colour: Violet (they 'glow' in the dark)
Hair Colour/Style: White, very-very long. Most often kept in a thick braid that swings just shy of the floor. When it's down it drags several feet behind him.
Skin Colour: pale-peach, you can easily see him blush
Clothing Style/Colours:Gothic. His shirts are billowy and made of silk, with lace and ruffles. Often worn under a leather vest they are long tailed and used as a half-skirt over tights. Typically saturated colors like dark violet, blood red, emerald green in his tops. He forgoes pants in favor of leggings/tights, often in white when attending class, otherwise all patterns and colours have been seen.. thankfully not in the same pair. His closet also holds at least a few dresses, older sisters once used him like a doll and he's too use to them to find it odd anymore.
Extra: Small fangs, not often noticed. Claw-like elongated nails. Small black colored horns that get 'lost' in his hair. A long thin (fully prehensile) black tail with a heart-shaped tuft at the end (he often decorates it with everything from gold rings, to over-sized bows that match what he's wearing). Wings that sprout at his lower spine, they can not be used for flight (they do however catch enough air to glide short spaces, help slow and aim a fall, lowering the chance of getting hurt from short-distance falls). Tiny shoulder wings, still growing in. Both wings and tail are covered in a very short sleek fur of black with clouded/rosette markings in red and violet.
If he becomes hyper just stuff the end of his hair or tail in his mouth, he'll (normally) get the point.
Squealing little scareling girls tell their mummy's "I'm going to marry him when I grow up." while older teens pat him on the head and tell him "You're cute. Keep trying little boy." It goes without saying, he likes kids... and their innocent unwavering love and adoration. On the plus side he's not old enough for others to think feeding off of scareling's emotions as 'creepy'... or at least most others. How did this little discovery come about? Lots (and he means lots) of younger siblings. Nova is the 4th child of his family. He has 3 older sisters, and 5 each of younger sisters and younger brothers.
Let's have a Prank War! - He's also quite troublesome when he's in the mood for pranks and just causing chaos. The pranks are never aimed at anyone in particular, more often than not set up where anyone can end up triggering them. Random coloured dye in the school's shampoo supply (He'll walk around proudly with his own hair some outlandish color too, because it's fun!), leaving 'surprise in a can' sitting harmlessly in the cafeteria, and other harmless if sometimes annoying little pranks. He's actually aiming for retaliation, nothing is more fun than getting a friendly school-wide prank war started.
No, I wont cut it! - His hair is a matter of pride, even if it is to most others excessively long. No one is sure where it comes from, if it's some Incubus thing, a family thing... or simply a "Nova" thing.
Favorites - Just because he feeds on emotions to live doesn't mean he can't enjoy food, favorite foods are well done steaks and chocolate. He loves high places, with absolutely no worry about falling. He also loves to surprise others by popping in on them from above, typically by leaning down from an overhang.
A day in the Life - He's a deep sleeper and it takes time to get him motivated in the mornings, making it the perfect time to catch him wondering around his room with his hair half-done and in an oversized sleeping shirt. Nova isn't a fan of sports, but enjoys running (though he hit a growth spurt right before enrolling and trips at times) and climbing to places he shouldn't, like roofs. He's happy to spend his time in class (he likes a little praise for getting things right, and does his best to take criticisms though these tend to be taken more like challenges), doing things his friends are doing, and goofing off if given the chance (sleeping in a tree/on a roof).

Looks good so far! I would like to see a few things that could help round him out;
Does he have any flaws? Petpeeves? If you think about him more, you can delve deeper into the character because there is some potential there.

Nat ability is actually not possible I'm afraid, as all halloweeners feed off of FEAR though natural absorption, and feeding or attempts to feed off of another halloweener would result in making them explode.
As a reminder, we can't allow the sexualization of minors, even in fiction or RP as that breaks gaia ToS. As the character is an incubus and is entirely plausable, we reccomend to focus on the aspect of being likeable or endearing, which would lend to being charismatic. Charisma isn't something someone simply is on a basis, it's something that plays driectly off of how a character can engage another and endear them to their same passions. Much the way a politican is charismatic. They engage people with like passions and shared beliefs wich garners the people's endearment.
A better take on his ability might be that he can amplify the emotional response of others in a minor way, such as what might have drawn a sigh, now draws a sigh, eye roll and a look of contempt, or a scowl now includes an insult. It doesn't alter or greatly impact another emotional state, but rather gives it a small boost that would sneakily go unnoticed. saying a natural ability is 'charisma' is too vague and treads into god-modding, as it makes a character need to do something and feel a certain way, where as 'buffing' what is already existing it more optional and gives leeway to player discretion.
Would something like Empathy be alright? (Something like he feels the mixture of emotions in a room or the most common emotion in a room, but it's all mixed together so he can't tell who what emotion belongs to, but -with the others players approval- he can know the most heightened emotion a person is feeling, perhaps even needing contact with them?) I mostly picked charisma because that is what the base natural ability listed in the guide is (in the spoiler).
As I've been playing him (made him during the carnival event) he 'clamps down' on his ability (as Quests can't use them anyway) I can simply have him be clamping down on the desire to read the other person instead of feed? He'd react the same way.
At his age I've also had him be completely confused by the feeling of lustful emotions in a room, as a scareling his 'type' of Incubus simple filters them out in a 'background noise' sort of way. I don't mind ageing him up though, so I'll go change that right now.
Would you mind letting me know what you think about the Empathy idea?
