NAME OF CLASS: n/a
PROFESSOR NAME ToT'er Name: Break

General Information: Break believes that both agility and endurance is the best asset for a to trick or treater to have, so with the interest of looking for potential among the students he invites you all to try his course.

The Course: Thunder Road
A rocky, uneven road built to test the students and see how they handle themselves across rough terrain. Your student must run through the entire course, up hill, and keep running without stopping. If they slow their pace or come to a complete stop, they'll be struck by lightning and it will be the end of the line for them!

Course can be ran solo or in groups.

Win - You've survived five rounds of dice rolls and crossed the finish line!
Lose - If your HP has reached zero, there is a narrow path on each side of the course. Hop off onto it and exit the room. If insta-killed, you dissipate and wake-up in Nurse Cricket's Office.

Mechanics: Roll a one 8-sided die to determine the results your student will get and make sure to adjust your HP accordingly
Each time you survive a round, repeat the above until you complete the course.

1 Insta-kill!
2 Live
3 - 10 HP
4 - 20 HP
5 Live
6 Live
7 - 20 HP
8 - 10 HP

Bonus Mechanics:
If you get a lousy roll, a Y2 or Y3 student may roll a one 6-sided die ( ONE TIME ONLY ) and attempt to evade the hit.

Y2 students must roll a 5 or 6 to evade the lightning.
Y3 students must roll an even number to evade the lightning.

YOU LOSE/FINISH THIS CLASS WHEN...

- You hit 0 HP!That means you have to START OVER to try again! You may do so in the same thread or a new one if you decide to attempt again at a later date.

Round 1

The course outside sounded like it would be a breeze for Nim. Thunder road? She was the queen of thunder. She was a storm mage! She was better than some silly lightning!

She started at the beginning and all was going well at first. The sky rumbled ominously above her, but she was unfazed. She'd seen scarier skies during family dinners.

You weren't going to scare her, Thunder Road.

Round 2 - HP: 20/30

All was going well until she slowed down a little, at least. As soon as she started to lose speed the sky rumbled and a crack of lightning came down at her. She screeched fearfully and dodged, but it still hit the back of her legs and made her stumble. Miraculously she didn't fall down.

It was painful. She'd never really been struck by lightning before. Nothing that wild and untamed, at least. She'd been trained to control and redirect it since before she could really remember, and she couldn't understand why she couldn't do so now.

This was so weird.

Round 3 - Instakill

Tired and in pain from the strike of lightning, Nim began to slow again. She was too slow to dodge the lightning this time, and it hit her dead on. She dissipated before she could so much as scream.

She woke in Nurse Cricket's office tired and aching. Cirrus was laying on the bed next to her, looking concerned. She remembered being hit, but not ending up here.

Had she just dissipated for the first time? Oh jack. That was awful.

And from something she should have been able to control, no less!

She vowed to herself to try the course again the next time she wasn't feeling so dizzy.

Round 1 - HP: 10/30

A new day, and Nim was determined to get through this course.

She glared at the road, rocky and treacherous. She knew what would happen, now. She knew that for some reason, she couldn't control the storms here, and that if she slowed down it was going to hurt her. Badly.

But she had to do this. If she couldn't, how could she ever live up to her species? She was a storm mage. This was important.

She started running, but immediately the storm seemed to be unimpressed. It cracked and hit her with lightning so hard it made her cry out. She moved her legs faster, even though all she really wanted to do was turn back. She had a feeling she was biting off more that she could chew here.

Round 2 - ded

She just wasn't fast enough today. She tried to keep her legs going, but she was getting tired quick. She stumbled and slowed down, and the storm didn't give her even a second to recover.

She was immediately struck by lightning that sent her to her knees. It hurt so bad, and she couldn't move right. Instead of trying to run again she shakily got to her feet and let via the small path to the side of the course.

She'd have to go back to nurse cricket to rest for a bit, probably.

Round 1 - HP: 20/30

She was nervous to try it the next day. She was feeling better, but she was still kind of tired. She knew if she hesitated or slowed down the storm would pick on her weakness. It had done it the last two times she'd tried to beat it. So she needed to be fast and confident.

Two things she wasn't really feeling right now. Great. This would be a disaster.

She started the course and the lightning immediately nipped at her heels with a painful sting. It was almost as if it was mocking her. Her body buzzed in waves as it tried to get used to the ache of where she'd been hit. Nim gritted her teeth against it and tried not to slow down any. Stupid storm.

Round 2 - Insta-kill

She didn't even remember dissipating. She just woke up in Nurse Cricket's office, aching and shaking, and had no idea how she got there. It took a few minutes for her to remember the course and the lightning.

Her eyes threatened to water as she thought about it. Was she a bad mage because she couldn't control her element? That wasn't true, though. She could control it. A bit. She used it when she fought, and she'd been learning to direct lightning and clouds since she was little. She had control.

But maybe she didn't have enough control. She wasn't good enough at it to redirect an entire storm, and that was what made her bad. The tears spilled over and she wiped at her cheeks in annoyance. This was the third time she'd failed that stupid course, and it wasn't fair.

Cirrus nosed at her gently and she turned on her side to cuddle him and absorb his comfort. She fell asleep next to him, vowing silently to beat the course eventually.
