[1v1] An Agreed Upon Price (Lock vs. Lass)

Lock was continuing in his ever continuing quest to bulk himself up at Shun's suggestion. Which meant a lot of asking around and setting up awkward "playdates" with complete strangers.

One of such complete strangers was a ghoul named Lass. He had a few classes with her, and knew of her, but didn't actually KNOW her. Still, a spar was a good way to get to know someone, right?

He was waiting in the gym, at the agreed upon time. She was going to teach him something, and he was going to pass his skills on to her. It seemed like a fair trade, right?

Bloody, that what it was going to be Lass thought as the steel tips of her boots clanked down the hall in a rather stomping fashion, not at all like a gentle-ghoul should behave but the reaper could have cared less. Anyone likely to complain would have ended up with fist full notes somehow crammed down their throats.

Late, the infernal device that she had called a clock had some how stopped its ticking and of course she was late. True it was only about five minutes but there were the matters of creating an impression and being punctual. When she reached the doors of the gym she paused taking in a deep breath of air. Collecting her thoughts Lass placed a fake smile on her face and swung the doors open and walked into the gym.

“Greetin’s Lock, are you ready?” She asked not wishing to waste any more of her time.

Lock nodded, summoning his shadows from his bag, like pulling putty from a ball. The shadows stretched, licking his arms and form, which prepared him for the oncoming attack.

He wasn't the type with a lot of words. Learning through actions was more valuable to Lock than words or lectures. He merely struck a ready position, and waited.

Lass watched with interest as the boil pulled the shadows from his bag, the crawled around his fingers like dough. It was a different appearance than her own illusions, but than again her shadow beings were just that illusions versus the real thing. Pulling the tome from is holder Lass unclasped it and held it open letting the words on each page slightly glow with interest. Sure it looked like a rather pathetic weapon for a reaper to start with but no one should really judge a book by its cover.

“Please be me guest an' start,” she replied with a wave of her hand interested more so in what the shadow would do first.

Lock nodded and kicked forward on the balls of his feet, a rolling motion from the back of his foot to the front as he began the assault.

Voodoo's eyes glowed a sanguine cyan, almost like a machine activating. She was happy to fight with him, since it meant she got to stay summoned. Lock himself dipped his hand into his messenger bag, pulling the shadows from the cloth and shaping them into small discs.

The discs were then thrown at Lass- more specifically, at her book. It was an interesting weapon, one that he sorely envied. Having an enormous book would have been marvelous in comparison to his nosey cat.
