Anger was not something the djinn usually had much of a problem with. She was a mellow soul, serene, peaceful. Calm as a clear ocean on a summer day. This was her usual, but there were times when everything seemed to bubble over, boiling and churning like a storm off the coast. From the moment she had found herself at the foot of that strange tower, the weight had been piling up, pressing down on the ghoul, threatening to drown her.

Not just the fight on the tower, or the injuries. Only a few days later Sharra had returned to school, and with him came the familiar rage that had been born the last time he'd vanished on her. She was furious with him, and festered, despite the warmth of Marosa's reassuring arms around her. To her, the nergal seemed only a disturbance. Something to pick at the fabric of her relationship, to stir up drama and walk away laughing from the ruin he created.

It enraged her. It pissed her off. She needed a release, an outlet. Anything to help take the edge off to keep it all from boiling over into her life or her relationship.

That was how she'd found her way into the Haunted House. Danger lurked within, she knew that, had met the hunters, carried their mark on her body from an altercation. Danger was what she wanted. In a way, it was what she craved. Ever since the tower. Ever since....

A recklessness had buried deep. The push for power. The drive to. To...

Rolling a 1: ALL DAMAGE IS MULTIPLIED BY 2, but you CANNOT USE FEAR/ CHARGED ATTACKS. You feel slightly dizzy, everything around you flickers to greys.

Evan would, at the very least, make an attempt at an attempt to do as Chel had asked him, meaning he had his phone in one hand, the camera function on, and his sword slung over his opposite shoulder. He figured if he got a picture of a monster, he could tell Chel whatever story he needed to to go along with it, because Chel was many things, but bright was--unfortunately for her, less so for him--not among them.

Only problem was, he had been wandering around the Haunted House for the better part of an hour and had seen neither scaly hide nor fuzzy hair of anything he could use as proof. Gir was getting bored and singing nonsensical songs, loudly and off key, and his patrol was almost up. It looked like he would have to come back another day--ah, no, it seemed like he was in luck after all.

"Hold still and I'll make it quick," Evan demanded of the monster he finally came across, raising not his weapon, but his phone. He pressed the shutter button as the creature came into view on the tiny screen, and was satisfied when the default snapping sound indicated that he had managed, somehow, to make it work.

Content that whatever he had gotten was good enough, he snapped the phone closed and put it in his pants pocket. His hand didn't remain free for long--it grasped the handle of his weapon and swung it off his shoulder, the teeth pointing out towards the monster. "Quick part's over. Monsters get to die slow."

A voice, familiar in a way that sent pulse speeding, blood boiling. Then a flash as she turned a corner, bright white sending starburts of blackness across her her vision and blinding her to the dark for seconds at a time. She hissed, a thin hand snapping out and trailing with it a thin wall of water to play temporary barrier as she gathered her barrings and rubbed the light from her eyes. That deep voice kept talking, offering violence, promising death.

As glowing blue eyes finally blinked open again, and that shimmering barrier fell to reveal the same Hunter that'd scarred her side, the djinn laughed. "You think you can kill me?" A hand touched her side, the shining skin of the scar that marred otherwise flawless tanned flesh. He'd marked her, but the destruction of the tower had torn them about before anything could really be resolved. He was strong, there was no denying that, but was he strong enough? Hadiyya merely giggled.

The dark seed buried in the meat of her shoulder told her nothing could touch her. Subtle, subconscious whispers in the dark of her mind that she wasn't even really aware of.

She took a step forward, and a twitch of her wrist, the rise of her hand, brought a wave at her feet that rose up, and up, until the curl of the white cap brushed the ceiling. That wave was thrust forward, crashing into the ex-marine to knocking him off his feet and carrying him back to slam into the wall.

"Have you ever attempted to fight the boiling sea, human?" A cold smile rested on dark lips, and she recalled her element, let it swirl at her feet.

Whatever Evan had been expecting, it hadn't been the wave of water that crashed into him and fetched him up hard against the wall. He spat and sputtered as it receded, leaving him soaking wet and a little grossed out. "Why," he coughed, "do all you ******** monsters have to be so chatty?"

"Do you prefer the strong, silent type?" Cool eyes never left the Hunter that was sprawled against the wall. That swirling water and climbed up long legs, lifting her inches of the creaking floor so she appeared to be floating as she drew closer.

She liked him on the ground. It was fitting, appropriate. Filth like him deserved no better than the floor. It was just a case of reminding them of that fact.

A flick of her wrist, fingers extended, and a tendril of cool liquid parted from the mass, snapping out at the Hunter with whip like precision to bite harshly at his cheek.

Getting close enough for them to bite was its first mistake. Taunting them was its second. Continuing to chatter would, if Evan had his way, be its last. "I prefer them screaming," he growled, thrusting the blade at that extended hand. It fit nicely between the open jaws, and he twisted the blade a bit before yanking it back.

The jaws on that giant sword had been the least of Yaya's worries, and that was a critical mistake. Glowing eyes widened as he caught her wrist in that jagged gap, and there wasn't even time to scream before he'd twisted, snapping delicate bones, and tore the damaged appendage completely away as he jerked his blade back.

Pain hit like a tidal wave, and she shrieked as her hand it the damp floor, folding over the remaining stump as water swirled up, closing around her in a growing bubble before exploding outward as she screamed.

Water was her element, and it reacted to her emotions. The liquid tapered as it flew, narrowing down into needle like points that struck with driving force upon impact. Long threads of condensed water drilled into the walls, into the floor and ceiling, and into the hunter she was facing. Erect for a shimmering second, before falling to rain around them before collecting against at the djinn's feet.

Cerulean blazed from beneath the fall of her bangs as she glared at t man, and as lips peeled back from clenched teeth that severed hand rose in a swirl of blood stained water to drift back to her, settling at the end of her wrist, with red runnels twisting and knotting up her arm to hold it in place.

Evan had been pleasantly surprised when the monster's hand had torn right off like it was made of paper and not attached to a body. Well, he supposed, it wasn't anymore. He smiled, savagely satisfied, as the creature screamed. Gir crooned in harmony with its cries of pain, happy enough that he wasn't even whining about the charge he wasn't building up. The monster's fear and fury was delicious enough even without it.

He managed to raise an arm to protect himself before the spikes of water could damage his unprotected face--she could probably poke an eye out with those things. His Fear shield and heavy coat kept him from being torn to shreds, but it still hurt when he got struck by them and he could feel welts already rising to the surface of his skin.

Once the assault stopped, Evan peered out and watched as the creatures hand reattached itself to its body. "That's a shame," he said, lowering his arm. "I was going to keep it as a souvenir." Well, that was okay. There were plenty of other body parts to go after--like the legs, which he swung the toothy front of the sword at. If he disabled it, he could go after it at his leisure and really drag this out.

Her pupils were gone, eaten by the blaze of Caribbean blue as her element took over. Even her skin took on a bluish hue, as if ocean water ran wild through the marid's veins.

She could have healed herself, that was her personal brand of magic, but something was blocking the flow Fear, cutting her off from that most precious gifts.

That sword came at her, sweeping at long legs, and a flex of will had water swirling up to lock, slowing that jagged edge before it tore into her calf. She kept him from taking a leg with her hand, but she still bleed for him, drew a snarl from that pretty face, contoured with rage.

"You are going to die here." The crash of wave sounded in her voice. Her hand came up, delicate fingers extended towards the hunter, and liquid swirled, spiraling down he wrist and right at the marine's face. It sought to blind, to deafen, and of course, to drown, rushing up his nose, through his mouth and down his throat.

For a brief, startling moment, Evan thought the monster might be right as the water clogged his eyes and airways. He panicked for a second as he fought the sensation of choking. As he jerked his arm back, his blade cut through the stream of water connecting them and smacked the creatures hand away. He spat its own element back at it. "Not today I'm not," he rasped.

The spit stopped inches from her body, falling harmlessly to the floor. "Yes,' she hissed it, dark lips curling up unpleasantly. "Toady."

The water soaking into the floor boards and walls around him was called back, circling around his legs before climbing up, cold and vaguely constricting. Up and up, until it was rising along his neck. Once again it invaded, crawling into his mouth, seeking out lungs, his stomach, all of him -- to drown, to freeze, to kill.

He'd hurt her, he needed to pay. She would tear him apart from the inside out.
