Selfie Olympics 2014

The flyers littered the school- duck faces in awkward angles in fuzzy images. The backs held the information; The Selfie Olympics had started. An underground contest held by the local radio 61.6 FM Forward FEAR it promised fabulous prizes. For the most creative selfie, the most dangerful, the most cute, voter’s choice, and the most frightening. From silver seeds to a new EYEphone or even a prize of one photo shoot with Halloween’s premier professional photographer, Ace Shoot Steven. The world class zombie tourist turned into a photographer, capturing the truly terrorized in film!

The flyer even explained the rules and terms. That a Selfie must contain one full face of the entrant, had to be taken by said entrant, and duck face was optional. There was a QR code for last year’s winning photos to check out along with more small prizes that would be offered. A hashtag #FEARForwardSelfie and a twitter @FMFEARFOR also were on the flyer, and in you bothered to read further, you’d even notice that they had a wiki page.

That was how you knew that maybe, this contest was pretty popular. Either way, a free way for seeds or stuff? Sure you had to take a selfie but hey it’s not like you didn’t already take a dozen right?
