General Information: Break believes that both agility and endurance is the best asset for a to trick or treater to have, so with the interest of looking for potential among the students he invites you all to try his course.

The Course: Thunder Road
A rocky, uneven road built to test the students and see how they handle themselves across rough terrain. Your student must run through the entire course, up hill, and keep running without stopping. If they slow their pace or come to a complete stop, they'll be struck by lightning and it will be the end of the line for them!

Course can be ran solo or in groups.

Win - You've survived five rounds of dice rolls and crossed the finish line!
Lose - If your HP has reached zero, there is a narrow path on each side of the course. Hop off onto it and exit the room. If insta-killed, you dissipate and wake-up in Nurse Cricket's Office.

Mechanics: Roll a one 8-sided die to determine the results your student will get and make sure to adjust your HP accordingly
Each time you survive a round, repeat the above until you complete the course.

Bonus Mechanics:
If you get a lousy roll, a Y2 or Y3 student may roll a one 6-sided die ( ONE TIME ONLY ) and attempt to evade the hit.

Y2 students must roll a 5 or 6 to evade the lightning.
Y3 students must roll an even number to evade the lightning.

Zaire wasn't happy to find himself where he was but it was needed. He had to start doing some work before the school up and kicked him out. Not to mention he was still pissed at Helki for calling him lazy and dumb. If he could pass this class, this course he could prove him wrong. So he forced himself to get up this morning and jog all the way down here, which probably wasn't the best idea since he was winded just coming to the course. But he was going to damn well do this!

It was a pride thing, even he had pride.

Zaire looked out over the rocky, uneven terrain and sighed deeply. This was going to suck, he could feel it in his bones. But he started out on the path anyways, managing to remain in one piece as he made his way. He had already seen what happened if he slowed down, lightening and he didn't want any part of that.

Running he tried to keep himself from thinking, focusing only on what was ahead of him.

The uphill battle had been going fairly good aside from the lazy boil becoming winded so soon. He realized as his breath escaped him that he had in truth been slacking way to much. It was evident now as he wheezed for air while running up the rocky road. Just as he made it past a large rock, a smaller tucked just behind it caught his foot and sent him rolling. Of course this meant his pace slowed and BOOM lightening struck.

Hot. Hot and painful.

Pushing up Zaire started to run again not wanting a second dose. He knew he couldn't handle another strike like that, but he could feel the throbbing pain in his knee from the fall coupled with his burning lungs. Why couldn't this course be in water he wondered bitterly, of course the fact that the lightening would be worse there didn't even pass his mind. Tired and sweaty he focused on pushing ahead, just trying to get to the finish.

"Come on.." Grunting some encouragement to himself he pushed on, hopeful but not really. If only a certain wolf could see him now, then he couldn't be calling him lazy. Stupid, well that was a matter of option he was a water monster running a course that struck students with lightening. Damn it.

Zaire had been struck by lightening, and he couldn't take it when another bolt shot down and got him. It felt like the air had been forced from his body, or what little was left in. Dry heaving he doubled over and his feet stopped, eyes watering. The only word to describe the feeling in his throat was raw, painful and raw, he needed water. Hearing a familiar sound of another strike coming Zaire moved and on a half jump half fall, he hit the narrow path to the side of the course. Laying there a moment he breathed in defeat, dust filling his nostrils but oddly enough not making him cough, instead he growled lowly. A growled that showed his disappointment in himself, for becoming this.

He couldn't believe it, not a bit. When! More importantly how the hell was he this out of shape, this useless on some stupid running course? Had he really been overindulging lately, the boil frowned trying to recall and remembering sour feelings of being homesick. That had to be it, he had let the feelings of his own depression get the better of him. Well not anymore. No...no. Zaire dimmed for a moment at his own thoughts.

But maybe Helki was right. Maybe he was useless and no good.

Zaire slowly picked himself up off the path and stood, brushing off the dirt that had collected on his pants and sighing. No. He wouldn't give up, the course might have won today but if he was going to do something it was take this thing head on again just to prove he could. Determination flashed across his features as he started out of the area. But first he needed to pay a visit to the nurse. After that though, Zaire's brain lapsed for a moment and he yawned. "Maybe a nap...then the nurse...and then.." Whatever he had planned to do, the arcade? That sounded about right, maybe he could see that cute ghoul he had ran into, she didn't think he wasn't good enough.

Or Jory, he was fun to hang out with Zaire mused but was in fact heading for his dorm the likes of which he would stay in for a few good hours once getting there. Sleep and then food, if he didn't just eat one of the minipets in his room before crashing on the bed. Decisions, decisions.

Back again, he stood before the course and bristled knowing the punishment it held as soon as he took a single step on the rocky surface. But it had to be done, there was no other way around it, he couldn't see any cheats to get past and really didn't want any. This was a test, not only for the school of course but for himself. He had been rather proud of his own working out in his dorm as of recently and felt confident today, which was a new and exciting feeling.

Readying he bent to check his shoe laces and then straightened back up to peer out of the course again. On a swallow he started a mental countdown. Five, four, three, two ..and he was off sprinting for his life down the uneven path. Sweat wasn't dripping nearly as fast as it had the last time he attempted the course, which was pleasing. His conditioning in the pool lately might have been to thank for that though, of course in the heat of the moment he was just glad sweat wasn't stinging his eyes.

Racing up the hill he came to a rather large dip and jumped to avoid it, as he landed thought hadn't caught up and since he had slowed technically a bolt of lighting struck him. Zaire winced but quickly recovered, or rather recovered much faster than last time and started his sprint up again. One foot in front of the other he coached himself as he started to get a little winded running up the hill. A growl rumbled from his throat as he passed the spot he fell at last time, victory, or at least a small one had him smiling.

This time was going to be different, he could feel it.

Zaire's tail swung up to meet a rock in his way breaking it with ease. No one had said he couldn't clear out his own path right? And he hadn't suffered any repercussions for the strike, as another rock came up he smashed it again and purred happily. No lighting, nothing else, glowing blues narrowed and he started to kick up the speed using his tail as a massive broom. Maybe there was something to the stuff his teachers rambled on about, think smarter not harder right? Grinning he pushed on, now feeling a few droplets of sweat rolling from his forehead to cheeks. Shifting to compensate his own exhaustion he paused the sweeping with his tail but kept the same speed as he continued up the path.

Chugging along that's what he was doing , head held high and body moving in a fluid motion much like it did when he ran laps around the Not So Forbidden Forest's paths. Zaire couldn't help but beam as he saw the finish in sight, he had to be doing good right? Right, because he hadn't got the crap shocked out of him again. The reptile monster's teeth flashed as he came to an uneven part in the path and nearly fell. Luckily his balance had improved, if only barely, but it was enough for him to not crash and burn. Catching his footing he hopped once then was back to sprinting.

If Helki could see him now, what would he say? Zaire had to wonder, not that he really cared, nope he totally didn't.

As he came within a short distance of the finish line there were only two things on his mind, water and food. Both things he felt like he would kill for, his stomach growled loudly to remind him it was diet snack time and the sweat streaming from his pores well it did its job to dehydrate him. What was in actuality taking only minutes, to the monster felt like hours. Hours of heat and rock and foot pain but hours well spent. He was smiling still as his tail swung up to take another rock.

Even though his feet were on fire under him and his mouth was starting to dry out, he wasn't in nearly as bad a shape as he was last attempt. This time he wouldn't roll over and give up, not now, not when he was so close he could taste the delicious delicious finish line.

One last push was all it took and Zaire was padding across the finish line on a huff of breath. Damn his body hurt but the good kind of hurt for once. Doubled over his hands hit his knees and for the moment he just breathed, inhaling deeply and exhaling loudly to catch his breath. Licking sweat from his lips he growled happily then started to laugh, this would show that brat, and he planned to rub it in his face..just as soon as he got some food.

He had to burn enough calories for a big juicy slab of raw meat right? In his book he did, jumping off the path Zaire made his way off the course and towards food. Celebration was in order.
