Herbology - A
Jess never had any talent with or love of plants, and it was only because she liked that class "alright" that she studied enough to receive an A, which she expected and was perfectly content with.
Potions - A
Jess's potions always had an unfortunate habit of ending badly, mostly because she never had the patience to do things the right way and always ended up botching most of her ingredients. It was only with constant practice hours under the supervision of her thirteen year old brother that she managed to scrape an A. She was very relieved to have done that well.
Astronomy - P
Jess never really enjoyed the class or had much like for the subject, so she didn't try on the OWL at all and was surprised she got a P, rather than a D. Her memory served her better than she meant it too.
History of Magic - D
Jess always hated History of Magic and barely studied at all, resulting in a Dreadful.
DADA - EE
Jess liked DADA and actually put effort into doing well on the OWL. Being reasonably prepared, she got an EE, to her delight.
Transfiguration - A
Jess was a little disappointed by the A she received, since she had studied hard, by her standards, but she simply didn't grasp the material well enough and got nervous during the exam, resulting in a lower grade.
Charms - O
Jess has always had a natural talent for charmwork, and it showed during the exam. She also studied, but didn't kill herself over it, and still got an O, which she proceeded to smugly show off to her astonished siblings.
Care of Magical Creatures - EE
Jess genuinely liked the class, though she didn't care for all the creatures, and she paid attention and studied, which got her an E, which she was happy with.
Cooking With Magic - EE
Jess discovered she actually enjoyed cooking over the course of the class, and even found it relaxing. She felt she deserved the E she got.
Divination - P
Jess wanted to do well with Divination... it just didn't work out. She didn't work hard enough or apply herself enough, resulting in a Poor.
Music - EE
Jess loved Music and would have preferred an O, but didn't love it enough to study long enough for it, so she got a lower grade.
Wandless Magic - EE
Jess was surprised that she actually seemed to have some skill with wandless magic, and was even more surprised by her E grade. She attributed it to not finding the studying boring or tedious.
Wandlore Studies - T
Jess deliberately tried to fail this class because of dislike for the previous professor. She succeeded. Tremendously. She was very proud of her "trolling".
