Defiant. That was how Uru would describe the shadow. It wasn't a shadow of himself. It was himself - the him that he would have been. Reckless, uncoordinated, abandoned, consumed by the shadows of depression, sadness, loneliness. Yet it stood there, facing him on its last legs. It was almost pitiful to watch it get back to its feet again. What life did it have left in it that drove it to fight on now? The demon's chest rumbled heavily, filling the area with his growl - threatening and promising. If it moved, it would fall.

Lumbered was the only word he could describe it. The shadow lumbered toward him, tired and ragged, its arm arcing down onto him in pitiful, weak strikes. Uru huffed as he placed a hand around the shadow-self's neck before bringing up a fist against his chest causing the shadow to collapse forward and dissipating around him.

"Stay in the shadows where you belong."

Uru pressed on through the last of the maze, the door swinging open to reveal the emerald colored wolf beneath a nearby tree. The student gave the creature a quizzical look for the absolutely pleased expression it wore itself. Was it because he had finished the maze and that meant something or was it because there was something else he was not familiar with? He was the exam proctor, so it would be wise to make his way there.

"I finished, sir." It was best to be formal... for now. That maze was wearing on him something fierce. If he wasn't tired, he'd had already swung at him. Yeah, there was adrenaline still running through him. The hellhound shifted to the humanoid form again, this time proffering something to him. Looking at it, he saw that it was a parchment - no, it was a certificate.

"Congrats," he says pleasantly, and bends to pick up one of the parchments. He hands it to you with a smile. "Welcome to Hob level."
