Lost at Sea (Terry and who ever Rea tosses in)

There out in the distance of the ocean something strange seemed to be there. It had a glow of blue and was all sorts of blue. It was a male fox that was a drift laying on a bit of would just big enough to keep him afloat in the water and not drown. He had gotten lost then had a tumble and ended up falling. For how long he couldn't remember but he got swept down rapids and out to sea but before he hit the see he had managed to find something to cling to to try and save his life.

Xiu strolled along the beach, the setting sun casting only just enough light to make his form visible. Soon it would be dark out, and he could safely approach the human structures Mom and Dad didn't want him going by. They were such fraidy cats. But Xiu was an adult now, and they couldn't stop him.

He could see a light as he got closer. 'Fire,' he thought at first, before he realized it was blue, and he had never seen a fire glow so steadily, either. Not even the little glowy things that lived in the sea looked like that.

Curious, Xiu jumped into the water, undaunted by the dangers of swimming at night and in a place he was unfamiliar with. He was as good a swimmer as Dad, and he had yet to find anywhere that was a challenge for him.

It was short work for him to reach the bit of driftwood, with...a fox on it?

"Now that's new," he mumbled to himself, as he tread water next to the apparently unconscious fox, sparing just a moment to look the whole thing over, before starting to push the fox-laden-driftwood to shore.

Terry was lost to the world for the most part. But way down in there somewhere in his mind he knew that he was moving again but in a different direction then before. Though it didn’t make sense to him how this could be possible. He let out a groan. His body hurt all over. It was tired and hungry and thirsty. There was no real energy to be found for the lack of everything that one needed to live and thrive. He had been out at sea for a while. He knew something different was going on around him. With another groan he managed to just barely open his eyes. He could see shore slowly bobbing its way closer and closer to him but didn’t understand.
