Saar didn't know what would be in store for him today. He had no idea that today would be the day he would meet her. The one. The princess he had been seeking for far too long. All he knew was that spring was coming, the snow was melting, and the prey were returning to the woods he was residing in.
Pale purple eyes scanned the forest before him, ears flicked upwards and prepared to locate the nearest creature. His dark nose wiggled, sniffing the air around him curiously. He didn't smell any prey, no, but the scent of another fox drifted through the wind. How long had it been since he met another fox? His tail wagged swiftly behind him as he leapt up in pursuit of the scent, clambering over logs and roots hastily. Nearly tripping all over himself when he spotted another red vixen nearby, he stopped himself from skidding through the mud and inhaled sharply. He couldn't see her clearly, yet, but he was ready. Finally, company.
Clearing his throat, he quickly brushed his right paw over his hair and fur. Alright. He was presentable, good. Perfect. Swallowing nervously, the male rubbed a paw over his forehead and let out a quiet exhale. He needed to calm his nervous little heart, first. Just... just give him a second or two.

Ugh. Maybe he shouldn't have approached. The vixen he had spotted looked pretty down, and he was sure he'd be intruding if he came forward. Stepping backwards, he contemplated leaving the vixen to ponder. Wait. If she was down shouldn't he try and help her out? Sure, he was a stranger, but it was a bit dickish to leave behind someone in need. Hell, long ago he even wanted to start a tribe! Helping was in his nature! Clearly, the vixen needed some distraction from whatever was causing those ears to droop and tail to limp curl around herself.
Inhaling sharply, the male bolted forward and lunged to the side of the vixen, nudging his nose against her arm. "Tag! He chirped before barreling into the woods, briefly pausing so she could catch up.
