The gym was a daily location he found himself at, it was something that felt necessary to him. If he did not make it to the gym, he'd make up for it, but that was a rare occurrence. The locker room was packed, the showers being used, the gym was typically always a busy place. Generally, the demon hound avoided the place when it was; too many eyes, too many bodies, too many scents. Then again, he was often left alone. Apparently his surly looks kept creeple at bay, but their whispered infatuations didn't escape his ears. Rolling his eyes, he found himself using the dummies as punching bags. However, today the gym was particularly full so that none were available which was okay, shadow boxing it was. It was half way through did he catch a glimpse of something in his periphery.
He had seen the lumbering monster around before. Actually, it was quite difficult not to notice a student of his stature, his odor came off of him in droves, the sense of intimidating started the hound at times when he saw the Igor. Something about monsters unsettled him. He hated it. He should feel that way. His father was a monster, he strove to be as strong as monsters, to stray further from how demons are meant to be and yet... There were some who he did not mind, who he adjusted to, then there were some who he gave wide berths to. Monsters were big. Monsters were strong. They would make a good challenge in a fight. He entertained the idea at times, but never did he actually think of following through with it.
Perhaps that was what caused him to initiate the interaction with the monster. Uru made his way to the Ignor, with a challenging glare.
"Seeing as everything is being used, don't suppose you'd humor me with a little spar. It is better when my targets can actually dodge and fight back." The demon hellhound offered his hand as an extension of the offer to the creature. He wasn't normally this forward, but ... always good to try something new.

As soon as the monster took a step, his fists shot up in front of him, positioning himself into a defensive stance. The demon's sunburst eyes a solid yellow and solid blue, glaring directly - challengingly at the taller student. He wasn't sure how tough this monster was going to be, he had to bide himself. As the Ignor monster got closer, the demon hound coiled inward to brace for an attack. However, he did not expect the relatively mild tap on the shoulder. Still, the moment was enough to have him take a step-turn, using it to throw a jab at the monster's arm.
Uru took steps back to put a distance between them, trying to recognize the distance of the creature's reach. He just had to stay just outside of it in case he wanted to throw his all into an attack.

He should not have been shocked to see the undead monster's arm change in a fascinatingly grotesque form. Before it settled into his mind what he was looking at, that hand was already coming at him with an upswing, catching him across his guarded forearms. The demon hound snarled, hissing in pain, throwing his arms aside to shake off the sting of the gashes there. Definitely the strength of an undead, definitely stronger than himself naturally. However, he was going to go down without a fight. He worked himself hard all his life to be unlike those other demons: weak and reliant on their FEAR and magicks. Uru dashed toward Christof, lunging with a directed fist to his left shoulder. Risky to aim at the gnarled fist that could cut him, but he rather not allow the student use his moment to swing at him with it, either.
