Seymour Benjamin Ryans's OWLs (11/11) COMPLETE! Graded!

xxAstronomy: O
Seymour immensely enjoyed Astronomy and always found the class to be interesting, especially given learning primarily about the stars and planets in the Northern Hemisphere as he grew up in the Southern Hemisphere. It also helped that this was the one class that him primary note taker (Timothy Whitethorne) in Benjamin's words "dropped the ball" and took "pathetic notes I have to correct all the time". Feeling his best friend needed him for this class, Benjamin was all the more determined to pay attention and do well for both of them.

xxCharms: E
A combination of Timothy's generosity in taking notes for Seymour and his natural talent in magic and the practical application of magic saved him from this exam. While Charms wasn't his strongest of all magical disciplines, he still did quite well.

xxDefense Against the Dark Arts: E
Getting attacked by neo-Death Eaters tends to stress the importance of the Defense Against the Dark Arts. Thus, he did take the time to study for this class some, using borrowed notes. His written portion was a bit weak but his natural talent at magic made up for it to get him a solid O.

xxHerbology: P
While Seymour did manage to get a copy of good notes to study, he only looked over them once or twice in all the time he had to study and decided the class was "lame" and gardening was a "lame hobby" and the whole subject he was "too awesome to need". The only thing surprising was he did as well as he did on the exam, which was probably due to the fact despite his laziness he isn't completely stupid.

xxHistory Of Magic: A
In Timothy's words it was sheer dumb luck (and Seymour likes to point out Timothy's generosity with his notes), that Seymour scored an A instead of lower on this exam. It just so happened the history he did know was enough on the exam to secure him a solid enough A.

xxPotions: A
While Seymour understood in theory potions was important, he never had much interest in the subject nor the patience to be as exact as necessary to be a good potions master. It was likely he'd have done worse if it was not for the fact he is dating someone who requires regularly brewed potions-not that he will ever consider himself skilled enough to brew potions for anyone any time soon or likely ever.

xxTransfiguration: O
Seymour always had a bit of natural talent in transfiguration. A combination of his natural talent and Timothy's notes for the class secured him an O in this subject.

xxArt: O
Seymour's grade was no surprise in this as he not only was naturally talented in this subject but worked hard in the class because he loved art and he loves the professor.

xxGhost and Ghoul Studies: A
If Seymour actually took better notes and was more interested in the subject it would have been likely he could have done better in the class, as it was instead he got a solid A on the exam.

xxHealing: P
The fact Seymour did poorly on this exam was hardly a surprise considering he refused to take his own notes and could not convince a classmate to help provide notes for him and Elliott worked hard to make sure no one would willingly lend him notes for the class. While Seymour did average on the practical, he did so dismally on the written portion it was a small miracle he managed to score as high of a P. Doesn't mean his mother will be any happier with him for such a grade, though.

xxMuggle Art: O
While most classes that were mostly note-taking and memorization, Seymour did poorly on, when it came to Muggle Art what he lacked in his notes he was able to memorize in class itself thanks to his love of the subject and the teacher.
