[Open Class] Sweet Sinnamon Roll [TK]

TK was by no means a cook, and he could hardly be called a baker either. He knew the basics of cooking, and if he had to make a meal for himself he could and it would taste alright, but it was hardly his skill. His skill was just researching, reading, learning, but here he was in home wreckonomics. Why was he here? He didn’t really want to think about that because the answer would soon reveal himself, and the skeleton was pretty confident he didn’t want to remember.

He decided to just idly tap his fingers against the counter until the lesson began. Then he walked around until he found the sinnamon, which was a rather easy task. It was just in the cupboards.

Humming, TK walked back to his work station and added the sugar to his dough. He neatly placed it to the side and then rolled his sleeves to his elbows. Alright, now it was time to start kneading the dough! And maybe add some more sinnamon if he needed it. He was a rather weak child, which made kneading rather difficult. On the bright side, at least it meant he could never overknead while putting in additional pinches of sinnamon sugar. This looked good enough, right?

Once ready, the skeleton boil rolled out the dough and cut them into strips. He carefully rolled them into buns and then slid them into the oven. Everyone else seemed quite busy with their own concoctions, so TK decided to just sit on an empty counter while he waited for the pastries to finish baking. He twiddled his thumbs while he sat patiently, but that was before he heard some curious scurrying.

The boil looked up and to his dismay, it was a trio of gnomes. “Can I help y—“ There was no warning before one of them punched him in the gut. What the Jack??

Okay, so at this point TK quickly deduced that the gnomes were, for some reason, after the sinnamon rolls baking in the oven. He wasn’t sure why they were so determined to take the treats for their own, especially since this was an open class and they could have probably made their own. But no, perhaps they were just too lazy and wanted to steal someone else’s hard work as their own instead.

Unfortunately, TK would not have any of that today. He bent down to push them all away with firm hands.

Gnomes by themselves weren’t very strong, but there were three of them this time. Gangs were always more dangerous, though TK himself preferred to stay on his own. In this case, it was three against one, but at least the boil had some confidence in his fighting abilities. Of course, he would make sure that an actual fight would not break out in the class.

Lips pursed together, TK tried once again to push them away. However, they just wouldn’t budge. Did they really want it so bad? His rolls weren’t worth fighting for in his opinion.

At this point, TK had managed to subdue one of the gnomes, but there were still two more for him to deal with them. TK frowned, putting one hand each on their heads and stopping them in their tracks. He took a few steps back so their tiny arms wouldn’t be able to reach any of his body parts except for the hands on their heads. Even though, his grip on them were pretty strong. They wouldn’t be escaping anytime soon.

The boil just hummed calmly as he tried to figure out what to do next.

For some reason, they were still being persistent. TK continued to frown. He tried picking them both up, except there was a skirmish that broke out. In the end, TK was left with only one more conscious gnome, and with the difference in strength and abilities, he could deal with this last one with ease. He hummed, holding the gnome by the collar of his shirt. “Do you really want a roll?” He tried asking the creature, but for some reason they didn’t feel like giving him a reply. They just continued to try to head for the oven.

He was getting rather tired of this so-called fight. TK couldn’t even call this a fight. It was just a series of distractions and sounds that ended up entertaining him until the buzzer sounded. “Ah.” The boil casually tossed the gnome quite a distance away and turned around to open the oven. His eyes glowed brighter when he realized how nicely they’d turned out. Pleased, he took out the rack and set it on a table for the rolls to cool down. Until then, he pulled out a book, sat down on the counter, and began to read to pass the time.
