Blue skies, sun high and an all to perfect day lead the lion to his doom. He had been told there was a pride around here, told that he'd be well accepted and smiled upon due to his pelt. Since he hadn't the foggiest what he was going to do with his life he decided that this purpose was as good as any, perhaps he could even help out? He didn't have many notable traits, but he was charismatic and willing to learn!
As he entered the bushy growth of the Navi pride he looked to the skies, that were disappearing between the tree tops and noticed that the sky had taken a darker turn. This alarmed him slightly, but not to much. Storms happened and the trees themselves would likely protect him for the majority of the time. So still, he continued pressing forward.
Then the wind picked up. Now Miujiza was actively peering to the skies and even looking to tree tops. He paused in his step - eyes staring ahead now. The trees were beginning to swing back and forth - rains were pouring down and he was aware now that there was no such thing as protection. Was he sure this was the place he wanted to be? That question would likely haunt him for a lifetime, if he made it out of this alive.
Run forward. Or.. run back?
The questions were ringing loudly, a voice in his head told him to turn back. Instead he ignored this reasonable request and began to move forward. His argument was that if this was happening, perhaps there were others that needed help?
Then the first strike of pain. A rock had dislodged itself from a nearly hill and came crashing towards him, there was no making it out of the way. He did try and so the only limb effected was a hind leg. He roared out in pain as the rock successfully cracked his bones. That was strike one. Strike two made itself present as a tree began to fall - he looked up in time to see the top tilting hi way.. had he been looking close enough he would have discovered the hut of a lion. Alas he hadn't been.
The tree struck his lower half, not entirely catching his pine and narrowly missing his chest. Still it knocked the wind out of him and he couldn't make a peep - fortunately the tree moved enough that he was able to get free and barely limp his way to what he had considered shelter. By now he had scratches forming and blood dripping to darken his pelt. He was drenched and in a tremendous amount of pain.
The last straw was another tree - it began to fall, yet again he was made to move as quickly as he could on a limb that just wouldn't give and hips that could potentially be broken. Successfully he made the dodge - the tree wasn't done with him yet though and unbeknownst to him the tree had begun a short rolling path that struck out his paws from beneath him and upon falling he struck his head hard enough to leave him unconscious.

Things had been going so well within the pride. Life was flourishing and the pride had been without incident for as long as she could remember. That was until the weather started to change slowly. She hadn't thought much of it at first, it was normal to get rain during these months. However the wind started to make the trees sway and groan and she started to get this feeling in the pit of her stomach. Swallowing a lump that formed in her throat she watched, in horror, as their once peaceful existence was turned into a nightmare. She hadn't been far from home tree when the sounds of screams cut through the air as branches cracked and debris was flung around.
She had to dig her claws into the earth to avoid from being blown over but she was battered and bruised by flying branches, none of which were large enough to hurt her too bad thankfully. The rain beat down and she shielded her face from the piercing droplets. They stung her nose and eyes and made it hard to see. Everything was muffled by the sound of the wind and she could feel the panic growing within her. What about the rest of the members? She was okay but that didn't mean others weren't.
Doing her best to stay upright she slowly moved around, looking for others nearby but quickly realized she wasn't going to be able to find anyone with the current weather pattern. She forced herself to move to some uprooted trees and she wedged herself into it's earthy tendrils to wait out the bulk of the storm. It was all she could do for the moment. If she continued on her search path she'd likely become injured and that wouldn't do anyone good so for now she waited as the winds howled like demons from hell around her.
She hoped that the rest of her pride was alright.

Terrible nightmares rocked the lion as he lay there, partially covered by the terrain that had so recently betrayed him. A pool of crimson blood had poured out around a few wounds, looking worse due to the water that had beat against the ground. The nature of this was unforgiving, as though the weather had someone to get and teach a lesson. That lesson was lost to him, what could possibly have happened to make him the target!
Darkness.
Cold.
Dripping.
'jiza was surrounded by thick layers of falling water, a never ending rain so to speak. He was having trouble catching his breath even when seemed to calm down and take a deeper breath. His mind went a little crazy, panicking while trying to find a resolution to the issue. The resolution didn't seem to exist and that made him feel even more insane. Feel.. He thought about it briefly and realized that he hadn't tried to move and when he did he was greeted with a numb feeling. Unable to look around, see what was going on he felt defenseless and vulnerable.
"Help."
The scream was in his head - little did he know this was all happening while his still unconscious body lay now partially covered in water while the debris began to make him less noticeable. The only saving grace he had was a paw that had been lifted by a large tree trunk.

She waited until it was safe to move before she headed out once more. She wanted to be able to help find anyone that may be injured without getting injured herself. As she forced herself to move through the fallen debris she almost missed the dark colored paw that was just barely visible. She couldn't believe that was what she was seeing at the moment and was a little shocked but then shook her mind clear of thoughts and raced over towards the fallen tree. "Hello! Is anyone there? Can you hear me?" She shouted as she started to pull through the fallen branches and debris to get to the figure that was hidden below it all. Her eyes fell upon that of a dark male that she didn't recognize. He must have been an outsider that had ventured into the area before the storm had hit. Nudging his face gently with her own she looked at him. "Are you awake?" She didn't know what to do.

How long had he been lying there?
What had happened?
The male was coming to, not long before a voice called out nearby. Yes! He was there. Though he thought those words as loudly as he could, he just couldn't seem to get the words out. At that point Miujiza felt almost frozen or paralyzed. Fear washed over him as he thought the worst, but after a moment to calm down he tested each paw. All toes wiggled, not well, but they did the job of telling him he wasn't in as much danger as he thought.
Though that was only proven by the sharp shooting pain all over from trying to move limbs that just shouldn't be where the were.
Suddenly the world got dark - was that a face? He peered up into maroon eyes and simply stared. In his eyes showed pain, lots of pain. He tried to speak, but for all the water surrounding them he couldn't seem to get his mouth wet and instead he remained silent, even to her question. But with his eyes glued to hers he blinked.
That had to be enough of a sign. He hoped.

She worked to move away some of the debris and finally uncovered him after a little bit of work and maneuvering on her part. She wondered if she'd be able to carry him. She might be able too, she was stronger than she looked, but she didn't know the extent of his injuries, so there was an issue. She took a moment to look him over to see if he had any open wounds that needed immediate attention and was relieved that there were not. Turning back to look at his face she realized his eyes were open. This was good! "I see you Brother. I am going to help you." She told him, keeping his gaze. "Can you blink for me once if you can move, twice if you cannot move?"

The time it took her to remove debris from him was likely moments, perhaps a few moments, but they felt like they were taking quite a long time from his point of view. Every once and a while something would brush his battered hind legs, something that felt beyond excruciating. His eyes were watering by the time she was done.
Brother? Did he have family he was unaware of? Whether or not she was family she was there, a helping paw that he certainly needed in this time of need. When she continued to speak his ears finally twitched and nose sniffed a little. Then he blinked.
Once.
You can do this.
He tried hard to empower himself, there was no way he'd appear so weak, if he could help it. Jiza began to wriggle, slightly. This was perhaps the extent of his motion, though he tried again. Suddenly his eyes turned away from the female before him and he stared ahead blankly before blinking not once, but twice. The beating he'd taken from the forest around him had temporarily put him out of order. These were the kind of wounds that left a lion with a limp.
If she couldn't help alone she may have to leave him and get more help. The thought worried him as it seemed the area was terrible for randomly dropping things on these folks.

Oh good he could move. She was pleased to see him able to move and she accessed the situation enough to see if he was able to be pulled from the location, seeing that nothing was pinned down she let out a sigh of relief. "Please forgive me, this may hurt." She said as she proceeded to grab a hold of the thick skin on the back of his neck and pulled him further from the water so she could get a better position to have him at least try to crawl across her back. "Okay, I need you to drape yourself over my shoulders if you can." She said laying down so he could crawl over her. "If you need to bite my neck to stay on that's fine." She added. While it would be uncomfortable to say the least she could at least drag him out of there.

His movement was limited to a bare minimum of motions that provided him with little opportunity to aid her while he was dragged free by the scruff of his neck. The humiliation of the whole ordeal left him wounded in a way that was more than simply physical, his pride was taking a beating as well. When she offered her body to help hold him up he felt compelled to stay just where he was, refuse the offer all together and try to figure things out for himself, but he knew he'd lose the fight on his own, so losing what little pride he had left Miujiza worked to hoist himself up onto her and drape himself over her shoulders, but did decide against her method of holding on.
"I'll be fine." He muttered, trying to remove the pain and bitterness he was feeling from his voice. Tone was everything to most others and though his would likely be forgiven during this particular scene he'd hate to have it happen regardless. "What about you? Will you be able to handle this burden?" He'd named himself the burden in this particular question - there was no doubt in his mind that other individuals may likely need more help than even he if these events were occurring throughout the forest.
"Have you seen any others?" He inquired lightly. "Has anyone else been hurt?" He found himself trying to continue to think of questions as his mind tried to drift away into unconsciousness. The likelihood would be that he'd pass out eventually, but if he could avoid such a thing for at least a little while he'd be better off - or so he had convinced himself.
The truth was, who knew.

She was aware of the humiliation he was probably feeling but didn't say anything, why put salt in a wound? Besides, survival was far more important at this point. As he drug himself across her shoulders she realized she had underestimated his weight. At least he was still at a weight she could manage. With a small gruff she stood up and started the slow walk towards somewhere much safer. Somewhere he could get patched up. "If the Great Mother allows it, this will be a burden I shall and can carry." She said to him surely as they moved along. While he wasn't the lightest thing in the world it was going a bit smother than she had expected. "You are the first I've found so far. The pride is in shambles and members scattered everywhere...." She feared for them all, but she held strong. "I'm sure others will be found safe and sound in time. Though I'm sure some of the injuries will be far greater with a few...." Her voice trailed off.. "I'm Sylwanin."
