Pope and Lutheran Leaders Sign Joint Declaration on Reformation Day

Lutheran and Catholic leaders joined together Monday to sign a joint declaration to signify the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation.

Pope Francis went to Sweden for the ecumenical prayer service, saying this was an opportunity to “accept a common path.”

Comment: The catholic Church has remained more or less unreformed since Reformation time so I think this speaks volumes of some of the Lutheran churches today compared to the ideas Luther had prior and during the Reformation when they are so eager to join the Catholic Church in "receiving the Eucharist". They seem ready to be merged back into the errors that their founders objected to during the Reformation.
