I'm staying home, but everyone on my Dad's side of the family came! We have 6 guests today, totaling 11 people in the house. We're having a huge dinner together later on tonight!

I've actually not been back long from doing Thanksgiving stuff with my fam. >>; I had the unenviable joy of trying to juggle how to visit my family without inconveniencing anyone since I can't drive. I ended up taking up part of my beau's day off this week to have him take me back to my hometown early to stay for a couple nights and visit my side of the family since I couldn't make it down for actual Thanksgiving. (Which was undoubtedly better in the end, anyway, because I only visited with the people I actually WANTED to see and didn't have to deal with the intense urge to violently shake the ones I don't like.) Then my beau's family picked me up and brought me back to the city with them where we went to my beau's workplace for dinner (lunch? Whatever.); it was just slow enough that he was able to come out and join us for a while before going back to the kitchen. (Of course, I could have still conned him out of the kitchen, because he's who I'd need to speak with about what food was vegetarian friendly, anyway. >>; ) The rest of them are off to hit the casino, but I can't handle that s**t, so they dropped me off at my apartment and I will proceed to spend the rest of the evening with my cats and probably playing FFXIV and Pokemon.

That's awesome of him to take time off for you and to cook for his family at work.. An early thanks giving with less people you don't really want to be around sounds nice.. We both live with cooks and don't drive xD

We both live with cooks and don't drive xDYessss, he's so good, I usually feel like he's way too good for me. He sounded like he had fun preparing the food for the day, but they had so many reservations, I can't even imagine what it had to be like back in the kitchen, I was surprised he was able to get away to sit with us. So much nicer than doing the normal Thanksgiving gathering, I really don't enjoy being stuffed in a room with a bunch of people that I don't much care for and who don't much like me, either, I'd just as soon do holidays like this all the time. >>; Oh gosh, really? It's so rare for me to even hear of someone else who doesn't drive, let alone someone else also living with a cook, how interesting~
