There wasn't exactly a point that Grendell could say what happened on the trip. About the time her figure was blown completely, she remembered the last Venus day party. Remembered is a strong word as vaguly recalled something fit better. This time she'd gone with some leafy winged male picked up along the way. Decent company all things considered but that was it, so she thought.

After she settled things as best she could with the villiage, it was off to the healing house. Getting pregnant completely threw off her game along with her figure.

Pampering by the Healing House had its perks, she was never one to turn down such attention. Only, towards the end she was so waddled up that even she couldn't fully enjoy it. Then, at last, the parasites were born. Raising them was against the question, they didn't fit her story and after the last one...no they needed to be somewhere.

There had been an idea to just leave them at the healing house, but that one seemed to be frowned upon. Finally, she sighed and gathered the unnamed boys into a basket for transport. Not long for giving birth, the trip taxed her to the point she almost gave up and just left them. That was a true lie, even dismissive of the things she couldn't abandon them.

She didn't know what his name was, couldn't remember, but at least she knew where to go. All she had to do was drop the basket and get back to her home as if nothing had ever happened.

That Venus Day party was...intoxicating. Even bat pae nightmare aside, the golden haired male was positively on cloud nine the whole vacation. And call him love stricken, but the poor leafy male just couldn't get enough of Grendell.

So shortly after settling back home, he had gone to the village port in search of the red head who sold flowers. His fiery hot lover. But no one had seen her.

No one even knew about her. After a good two days asking every single pae at the port, Leif knew he had been had. There was no red headed flower girl, there was no Gren who lived at the port. How could he be so stupid? Of course an amazingly hot female like Gren wouldn't be interested in a pae like him!

Which brought him to present day, moping in his room as per usual. Heart broken. It was one thing if she didn't want to date him afterwards, but completely ditching him felt so cold.

Placing the basket in front of the home, she turned and started to lift off the ground. Her action sent vanilla wafting around her body. Normally, this was the fun part. This time, it was an annoyance. There was fitting that he knew she was here, however, finding out before her time wouldn't do.

Without looking back, Grendell soared up shooting as far as far away as her wings could get her.

Only, the scent lingered strongly, waiting. So far the babies hadn't cried, between listening the woman scolded herself. She should have kicked the basket.

That was familiar. Something in the air strong enough to be comforting yet, yet there was a not-there. Huh, no concept of what wasn't but there was something not!

Colors, spinning, pretty colors. He liked them and watched with wide eyes. He was warm and snuggled against something he only vaguely recognized as moving. Mmmm...A nice smell. The concept of 'mother' wasn't grasped yet. But he knew the thing that had been there the whole time he had been, was leaving. He didn't like that. Why would the thing that had always been leave? Just like that, wetness touched his cheeks and he felt his throat tickle. Crying, he was crying.

He was so stupid. So very stupid. Why couldn't he just...did he hear something? It sounded like fluttering right outside his window. Then...there was no way he was hearing crying. Lifting from his pity pillow, he pulled himself out of bed and down the hall to their entrance door. Leif lifted a hand towards the doorknob. A hesitation. For some reason there was a feeling in the pit of his stomach, that his life was about to drastically change forever.

But that was silly. He continued to reach forward and open the door. The first thing he noticed was the scent of vanilla. Gren. Then the crying. His eyes moved down to the basket. With two babies. That looked suspiciously like multicolored versions of him. "...D-D-DAAAAD!" Oh Guardians, he was in trouble now.

Two minutes, a concept of counting he didn't have but managed to last. Quite and waiting the young boy expected the thing to come back. Only, the scent he'd always known was harder to smell and his ears hurt now. Face scrunched up and a fist balled, Ginn pushed at the source of the sound to make it stop.

Adding his own angry voice, the abandoned baby called out for something that didn't have a name only an absences. More noise came from outside, one he didn't know. This struck the baby as frightening so he rolled into his blankets. Here, the scent of warmth and comfort enveloped him again. The blankets still smelled like the Thing that had always been there. Soothed enough, but looking like he was going to smother himself, the child quieted down.

Why had the thing that had always been leave? Another noise joined his noise, startling the babe into making more noise. Now there was another thing peering down at them! He didn't know what it was but it was big and scary and it moved!

This couldn't be happening. It was just one vacation! The scent of vanilla was unmistakably Gren, and the two crying babies were obviously...obviously... "Gren?! GREN?! GREEEENNN!" He shouted into the wind, but of course she would've been long gone. Giving him a fake address, purposely leaving their children on his doorstep, she truly wanted nothing to do with him. He started to shake as his heartbeat raced, his body frozen in indecision as he stared down into the blankets. One of them had stopped crying at least. That was good. That was-oh he was burying his face into the blankets! Suffocating was not good! It served to finally make his body respond to him, and he bent down to move the blanket off of the blonde babes face before lifting the blanket. With one more quick look around, Leif stepped back inside with his basket while closing the door behind.

"Okay...okay. Game plan. Need a plan. Grendell is gone. I have no idea where and no idea how to track her. There is...no note on the basket. I have no clue what your names are. Or if you have names. I...I don't have a crib...or...Maybe Dad does from me or Natta or Ash. We don't have formula...Oh guardians we don't have formula." Wide eyed stare. They didn't have formula. But they weren't far from Star Grove, and grandma just had babies. Okay. It was going to be okay. Where were his Dads?! Or siblings? Were they ALL out doing chores?!

What? Blue eyes glazed up at the big thing holding him as the biggest decision of his young life appeared. Was this a good or bad thing? After much deliberation, the baby started to cry again his fists flailing around. New faces, new sounds and the weakening scent he'd know all his life was terrifying.

His little face went red as he screamed his heart out calling for the thing that always was, for familiar and safe.
